That Bush picture is very offensive, this is a photography thread...

I was also offended at first, however, when I noticed it was from France, I just chuckled :p

edit: But of course you are referring to the language

meh, i don't think it should be offensive to anyone...not more than any anti-bush person should be at a picture of people praising him. taking pictures of graffti-art is a popular thing that many people do...

Here's some taken around Charlotte.

I saw this Cardinal, heard it actually, on my way to my car at about 6:30 AM. Didn't get close enough for the flash to be effective, but some enhancement produced an interesting picture.

BOA Tower reflected in a neighboring building. My best pic, IMO. I think the alignment with the flag poles was caught perfectly.

I believe what he's saying is, this photography thread could do WITHOUT the derogatory comments, REGARDLESS of who it's towards.

I believe photography is an art, and as an art there is always some offesive things to some people.

Just don't look at it :)

Speak for yourself. YOU'RE not the one having to explain it to an 8 y/o girl that asks,"What's that mean?" when you're trying to scroll past it as quickly as possible.

There's a time and place for everything you know.

welp...i liked the picture. should it be censored because you dont know how to give an answer to your daughter to make it seem like its nothing?

yes their is a time and place for everything, and your the one who is sopsoued to ensure that what your daughter see's is approriate, or your idea of what it is.
You are the parent, you are the one ultimatley responsible.

I just dont see the art in that pic...but that is just my opinion; now there are plenty of other great pictures posted here so no offense, but I dont like the use of this thread to express a political opinion. There is also a correct time and place for everything, you wouldnt post porn here would you? Both would be equally offensive (if posted here).

Going to try to get things back on track here.

This is an old observatory in Eden Park, Cincinnati. I love the feel of this picture..sort of ominous..

This isn't Genmay. This isn't SA forums. And, as it may of SEEMED like the right thing to do, it's not a place for YOU to give ME the "do's" and "don'ts" of parenting.

Why's noone posted nudity yet, hmm? No answer? But,...IT'S ART, right? When shot respectfully, and in good composition, it's what many believe to be art. Go look over in photo.net's gallery. You'll find 25% or more of it to be nude "artistic" photos. But why not here?? I JUST DON'T GET IT!! *sarcasm*

Be it good or bad, [H] has a good line of censorship that I can appreciate. Especially when a child's present. I'd know better than to browse the above-mentioned sites while she's around. I'm no empath and I'm pretty damn sure that you not one, either. As Dru mentioned, this is no place to 'spark' up any politically-aimed debate with photos.

That having been said,....

I wanted to put a border on this, but I was just.....lazy. :p

Did you do this in photoshop? What time of blur did you use?

Well, the picture wasn't all that sharp to begin with (shutter speed was 1/2 second I believe, and people were moving) so I cut out the girl in the middle, and did a 10 pxl motion blur on the rest. Some other minor things were done, removed a nasty reflection from one of the windows (it was very distracting).

some examples of my pix, the most recent being the picture of the Santa Barbra Mission. More pictures at http://hook0r.deviantart.com

Isn't one of my best pictures by far but...I took this here in Tulsa while I was taking some long exposure shots of cars passing on the highway. Police officer put on his lights and I tripped the shutter....lucky grab I guess.
