Took that at a local park with a 20D and i think that was 24-70mm Macro lense

Whoa, you gotta resize that pic! On your home connection's uplink that took FOREVER to load (not surprising since it's a 4.5 MB file).

Also, everything looks out of focus and blurry.

We had some really dense fog the other day, and I snapped on picture that I really liked of a huge pine tree on campus...

Then, rather than study for finals, I decided to play around in GIMP and came up with two modified versions that I really liked as well.

The first was playing around with the gimp equalize function, and it did some really wierd, but cool looking stuff:

Then I played with the contrast of the original quite a bit and got a black and white photo that I really liked...

I like it! Actually kind of looks like one of those fake trees you'd put in a diorama display. Weeeird.

i prefer the all white - gives more to the pic - we all know gators are often in water and the one with it in water looks too dull and boring.

still practicing with my Canon 20D not much to take pics of lately except some poisonous Banana spiders (as deadly as black widows i found out)

the "size" is not huge - kb wize

i really really want a macro lens with a 1:1 now.

i was lying on the ground under this ones web - and apprently they are aggressive spiders, i was no more then 1ft away from it...

banana spiders are not deadly 0.0 not sure where u got that info from ><

maybe you got this info =p
The Brazilian Wandering Spider is not for the "pet keeper". Brazilian Wandering Spiders are extremely fast, extremely venomous, and extremely aggressive. These large and dangerous true spiders are ranked among the most venomous spiders known to man. In fact, the Brazilian Wandering Spider is the most venomous spider in the New World! In South America, these true spiders are commonly encountered in peoples' homes, supposedly hiding in peoples' shoes, hats, and other clothes. The Brazilian Wandering Spider does not remain on a web, rather, it wanders the forest floor, hence the name. The Brazilian Wandering Spider has another distinguished common name - the Banana Spider. The Brazilian Wandering Spider was given the name "Banana Spider" because there have been cases where these spiders unintentionally appeared on banana boats heading for the United States

the pictures you have there seem like a real banana spider =D which is far from deadly ^_^

I am far from real photographer, but I do like to dable. Most of my experience is in taking pics of my cars, and friends cars and I do decently at that. My equipment is only a S400 :)

I took this pic at night while doing some car shots. I pulled up and thought wow, this is awesome, perfect lighting etc. So I snapped a few shots.

Wow. Awesome mood on that B&W! It looks like the light source in the middle-ground is hidden by the pole in the foreground. You chose a fantastic angle to get this shot. I love the shadow detail on the cable on the left.

I definately need to have my camera's lens cleaned. It's a Sony DSC-S85 that I bought about... three-four years ago? Some pictures are starting to get grainy.

Some nice shots you have there!

Also, have you ever cleaned up your camera lens before? I need to do the same on my camera, but I am kind of scared I am going to wreck it (camera is a cybershot-T1).

Just curious :)

Thanks. Nope, I've never really "cleaned" it before. I'm assuming it needs a special cloth?

Exactly! Just recently got the camera, and havn't had much time to take many pictures. The weather around here has been really crappy.

Hoping to get some nice shots this weekend, weather permitting.
