I have the Singularity Computers Protium D5 reservoir Pump Combo. I currently have three 120mm fans mounted to an EKWB radiator using the long screws that came with the radiator. I want to mount the reservoir using the bracket that it came with, but the extra width of the bracket means that the screws are too short to reach all the way through the fan holes and into the radiator. Surprisingly, the reservoir didn't come with screws. Is there standard screws that people use with added length to accommodate the mounting bracket?

I figured it out. They're 6-32 screws that are 1 1/4 inches. I got 1 1/2 inch screws and cut of 1/8 inch so they weren't too long.

Be careful with long screws and rads - it's very easy to puncture a rad inadvertently and then it's a bitch to fix then - or a total loss of the rad. (I did it once - luckily was able to patch the hole I made with some solder and it held.) Some radiators have a protective plate under the screw mount holes to protect the rad - but most do not!

I always keep all the extra screws I get with every piece of hardware, especially the ones that are threaded all the way to the head, for this purpose. Never know when I'll need to chop some down for a weird hardware stackup!

Black Ice rads use bigger M4 metric screws. The 25mm ones that came with minewere just barely long enough to catch the threads when attaching fans.
I grabbed a handful of 30mm ones from ebay which is long enough to attach the fan + a rubber gasket + a fancy finger guard and still not protrude deep enough to punch into the rad tubes underneath.

Yup, a good rule of thumb when it comes to mounting anything to a rad is to always measure twice. Three times also doesn’t hurt. :). Having the right screws (longer ones you can also cut down) is also a huge plus. Rushing things when mounting things to a rad is the number one cause of [H] tears.
