Scalpers Paradise Rules

Vendors raise pricing on their own sometimes, too.
I believe vendors / retailers get final say, but there is a relationship to maintain so typically manufacturers have decent pull.
For example Tide (a huge brand) has more leverage on pricing at Target / Walmart vs. a lesser brand.
Gigabyte is a large brand so I wouldn't be surprised if that is genuinely the new retail price.
Also it makes sense with all the price increases since launch. They just keep going up. And it might go up again early April. :(

Total sale from what have seen and understand. Considering it’s already being sold over msrp.

But for the prices some people ask, 5% is worth the extra cost for the sale.
Yeah, pretty sure 5% is a bit less than eBay takes anyway. The 'spirit' of [H] FS/T has traditionally been passing along decent deals to other enthusiasts in a tight-knit community. Want to scalp? Feel free, but pay the toll and at least help support the site while you're at it so that you and others may continue to do so - or sell elsewhere. No one should consider the 5% an affront or egregious when you're making mad bank on an in-demand item and not having to see any ads while you're here. I think a lot of people take that for granted.

At least that's my understanding.

The reason I am asking, is if I post a 5090 for $100 over MSRP, then I am going to be paying 5% of the price that ends up at more than the $100 over MSRP.

100% exactly. There was a time when 90% of what I had hardware wise came from these forums for a good price. That is likely what contributed to my hardware addiction.

I’m all for the 5% to [H], and I’ve never scalped. Keeps the lights on around here.

The fuck is the point? I just reported a blatant example of scalping and was asked "are there cheaper ones for sale?"

Might as well close Scalper's Paradise and turn this place into a far-less trafficked eBay.
Selling below retail costs is scalping now?

If you've reported it and they know, they must be ok with it.

Moderating is a thankless job at best, all I can say is if you can get them at retail for less and flip them for profit here then join the club. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
