This seems silly.

It's not most common GS4 with the Snapdragon that does it, it's the Exynos A15 Octa-core version that cheats.
Kinda amusing really. I guess Samsung put the Snapdragon in most of their GS4's for a reason.
Sorry, I am an Android noob but would rooting the phone allow the system to run at top performance all the time?
It seems to me that the problem here is that the phone is being throttled for everything but (certain) benchmarks.
All that aside this phone is pretty fricking sweet.

The only thing that could fix it is an custom ROM like Cyanogenmod.
does your phone do what you want it to do?
if so, who cares?
the story isn't just about the phone. it's about dirty business practices and samsung has a history of this.
So it is almost like they are claiming the 533MHz mode is like "turbo-boost" mode.
the story isn't just about the phone. it's about dirty business practices and samsung has a history of this.
So not only does Samsung hire lots of shills to infect forums such as this, these shills also post a lot of fake reviews and also outright lies about competitors' products including posting ridiculous photoshopped pictures, but also Samsung lies about the performance of their own products?
Have you seen Apple do that? Has Samsung become more evil than Apple?
I'll quote this just because nobody seems to be taking notice.
Owner of two gs3's and two gnote 2's. And you hit the nail right in the head!
So why does it matter to Samsung? Because it obviously helps in sells...Because canned benchmarks mean jackshit in real world. I would never buy any product based on cans.

I also forget that you will support Samsung in whatever even in lying, cheating, and stealing. Does the gang have a sign?Whatever, no matter what you will be pissed off at samsung, forgot who I was talking to.

Why I don't spend money from Walmart...OMG are there corporations that lie, cheat, and steal!!! Say it ain't so! Call the news outlets, we got BREAKING NEWS here!
Why I don't spend money from Walmart...
Whatever bank you got your mortgage or college loans through or bank with, your grocery store, your gas station, the people who made your signature computers...guess what? They ALL lie, cheat, and steal. For ANY business organization larger than a Mom/Pop store it is PAR for the course.
They all do it. Not just Samsung and Walmart.
Indeed. It's generally called "advertising" to them.![]()
Oh no you are very obnoxious.I did say I was a hipster... I also support credit unions. And also I have no mortgage or loans. And, yes, own my own cars and houses.
I kind of want to go Charlie Sheen and say, "Winning!" right now... but I'm not that obnoxious.
So why does it matter to Samsung? Because it obviously helps in sells...
Does any one else fake their benchmarks? Apple? HTC? LG? Motorola? Nokia? Sony? If this is SO meaningless, why did Samsung do it? This defense of Samsung is absurd.Because the majority of Samsung owners bought their Samsung phones based on canned benchmarks?
Sorry, I'm pretty sure they are the minority.

Because every major corporation cheats in some way, shape, or form, it's okay for Samsung to cheat in benchmarks that few cares about. Yeah, makes perfect sense.
Another hit to Samsung's credibility:

I wonder if we'll ever find out the company behind the shills here.
Astroturfing is so low and very annoying. I know some people on these forums are probably on Samsung's payroll.
