RTX 50 ends 32 bit phyx support

That would be great, another win for AMD would be nice. Since Nvidia dropped support I don't see why they would have issues with this...
 

NVIDIA PhysX and Flow Are Now Fully Open Source​

"It's been around six and a half years since the NVIDIA PhysX SDK went open source under the 3-Clause BSD license. However, not all of it was actually open source. This changed only recently, with the release on GitHub of the GPU simulation kernel source code. Here's the message shared by NVIDIA, along with the release of the shader implementation of the Flow SDK:

We’re excited to share that the latest update to the PhysX SDK now includes all the GPU source code, fully licensed under BSD-3!"

It’s worth noting that Nvidia also dropped support for CUDA 32-bit applications.

So I don’t know how much of the killing of 32-bit PhysX has to do with that, but given PhysX is essentially a CUDA application I’d be hard pressed to think they weren’t related in some way.

It should be pretty obvious that it has everything to do with it.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot more of Nvidia’s things launching as Open Source, in full or some partial degree over the next few years.
With their market base exploding in size like it has I doubt their ability to keep up, with all the requests coming at them without a massive price increase in their developer pool.

Right but, they killed support for CUDA 32-bit with version 12, and that launched in 2023. So unless the consumer gaming drivers were still packaged with v11 or something else was going on I don’t know why they chose to kill it completely now with Blackwell.
