So my PS died today and I dont feel like paying alot for another PS right now. I was thinking about the Rocketfish which is a Best Buy brand but as others have pointed out it is really made by Huntkey. It is a Huntkey Titan 650.

Since I work for bby I can get it uber cheap, like $100+ cheaper than what it is listed for. So my question is, is the Huntkey worth a damn or should I just ante up for an Antec or something? Anyone have any experience with this beast?

Here is the link for it... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8330512&type=product&id=1175389041103

Depends on HOW CHEAP you can get it. For under $80? Sure.

Biggest downfall is that it only has a 1 year warranty, but as long as you work at Best Buy you can probably get it replaced if it fails. ;-)

well since you work at BB why not just get an Antec earthwatts psu? also you probably dont need anywhere near 650-700 watts.

What are your specs?

And yeah I recommend getting the Earthwatts 500W PSU. IIRC, one Best Buy worker here on the forums got that PSU for $45 or so.

I have a Huntkey 650W running a P4 rig upstairs... it's ok. Nothing special, uses mostly unknown (to me) Fcon capacitors, but it seems to be doing its job.

Below $80 would be a good price to get one at... much more than that I'd be looking for something else.

So I picked up the Rocketfish last nite. It seems to be ok. Right now it is running on an AMD X2 4400 but as soon as I get my new mobo it is going to be running a Q6700 quad core, 6 hdd, 2 dvdrw, 2 7800GT in sli. Oh and I got it for $58.
