We've been watching it. It's okay. Nothing spectacular but we'll likely keep watching.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It does have a Prometheus vibe in the color scheme, planet and directing. (I guess thats to be expected). Overall its fun though, a nice change of pace

As HBO robot TV series go, it's not as good as West World Season 1, much better than West World Season 3

Thanks for the headsup. Its kind of crazy that FIOS offers HBOMax 'free' if you have a subscription to HBO etc... but for some reason they haven't carved out a "channel" on their IP TV system for it, they way they've done with Netflix (and strangely enough, that Pluto service). It would be great if they'd do the same for all the "big name" services, like Amazon, Disney+, Hulu etc. but they don't even need to do that in the same way for this. We've got quite a few HBO channels, add an HBOMax one!

I'll give this a shot . Oh and anyone without HBOMax (or for that matter anyone who's subscribed to all the streaming services they wish), I leave you with a couple of words - "Kodi" , "Addons4Kodi", "Seren" , and "Premiumize" .

this is a show that's equal parts boring and interesting at the same time...definitely has potential as far as the planet itself, those mysterious creatures etc...main issue for me is that the lead character, Mother, is the least interesting...I'll continue to watch hoping they focus more on the sci-fi and less on the religious themes

Sigh... Im not signing up for another streaming service. Part of me thinks piracy is going to be even more common in ten years because of everyone trying to get a piece of the streaming pie and basically recreating cable via individual monthly subscriptions.

until hbo pulls their heads out of their arses and puts their app on roku they'll never get a dime from me.

Saw the first four episodes in one sitting with the g/f, it kicks ass. Pleasantly surprised.

agree, at first i was kinda bored but then that last 5 minutes of the first episode was an OMGWTFBBQ moment and i was hooked.

eventually it'll be two, HBO MAX(which is their answer to disney+) and the one you get with having HBO on cable/dish.

Anyone listen to the William Gibson Alien III audiobook?

https://www.audible.com/pd/Alien-III-Audiobook/B07QY3KR81

Supposed to be good, I got it but haven't listened yet.

I have listened to all the alien audio books, there are some seriously awesomeones, this one included.

Id say the Cold Forge is my least favorite, it’s more about an individuals instant climb into insanity than the usual alien escape/survive theme that is typical in the alien franchise.
