Well, I ordered a bunch of NZXT extention cables, I hope they are worth it, they cost a pretty penny.

Are you using zip ties in the front or in the back of the case? If it's in the back I'd grab some cable clamps. They're much easier to work with.
I use them on all sides usually. Do you mean those cable clamps that have like a resetting ratchet?
Like these:

I worry about size for fitting back there on my FT02. It's not a TON of space back there like. I do try to wire it all behind the mobo, so the wires come out like ninjas
Nope, I mean like these:

You screw them into the spare holes you have on the mobo tray. They're fantastic.
I'm so glad I switched up my X750 for the AX850... basically the same Seasonic X Series Platform PSU (with an extra 100 watts to ease your mind), but in the FT02, the fan grill on the X750 would force you to use internal air for the fan, as it simply will not fit with the fan grill the other way for fresh air. In fact, even with the Corsair thin profile grill, I had to take it off, as the PSU filter clips there was rubbing with it, making it harder to remove the filter for cleaning than it normally is.
I considered those Saddle clips from Mod Smart here, in various forms...

But I think that the Zip Ties still offer a tighter grip and all... I dunno, I might be scared to try them, but the Zip Ties work in areas that the saddles can't reach, like between fan holes and all, I get really creative with them, I can't see the Saddles working all that much for me. I do like the Cuff style ones the best, but you can't change out wires without leaving a sticky mess, and the other ones look bulky or have issues in my mind.
it won't fit? hmm. Guess I better turn mine around lol. The filter screen is pretty tight to get off I agree but I'm not seeing the install problem you are talking about.

Perhaps I could give them a try, I thought you had to drill for those, do the screws not get near your mobo and maybe short circut it (wiring from the rear)? My mobo is large, covers most of those holes from the front. That's what concerns me the most about that style, but they look great IMHO. I will order a few in tho just to see where I can use them.
Mine fits. You have to push against the back grill some, but I got mine with the fan facing out without any real trouble. I can get the filter on and off too. Sure it's slightly more difficult, but not prohibitive by any means.
I'm anxious to see how the X760, X860, and X1000 do.
I just used the case screws and screwed them into the back of the motherboard tray. As for them contacting the motherboard, there's PLENTY of clearance. I got mine from my local hardware store for like $2.50 a pack. I bought 3/8" and 1/2" diameter clips. They're fantastic.
You probably know, but the x850 = ax850, I may be wrong, but I read there is no x860, as there was never an 850 watt model to upgrade on, like the improvements the x660/x760 made over the x650/x750 ones... or is it there is no x850, only x860? It has to one one or the other, not both... Strange that seasonic released it via rebadged Corsair first.
I fudged the numbers a bit. There's no X860, but there will be an X850. It's upcoming though, probably around the same time as the X1000 and X1200. The press release can be seen here
FWIW, they've been pre listed on some Australian site for about two weeks.

Awesome thanks! If the specs are right on that page, I'm amazed they were able to fit the X1000 in the same space as the X750.
Just received my FT02 Limited Edition from New Egg and the frame is bent. Box and styrofoam looked ok, but the case looks like it took a beating. You can see the red frame around some of the edges of the side panels where it is bulging out, and the one side panel looked like it was going to pop off from the pressure. I'll try to take pics in a bit. Called NewEgg and they are shipping me out a new one and I can send this one back. I think they only had 3 left in stock too.

In my quest to find a better HD rack for my FT02-WRI, I settled on this:
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10878/cpa-379/Lian_Li_Hard_Drive_Cage_-_All_Black_EX-33X1.html
It's pricey, but I like the design enough to order one up. With my DVD Burner, my Blu Ray Burner, and this Lian Li HD Rack, now all my drive bays are full, but I don't intend to do anything else anyway. Now I don't have to fiddle with loose fitting Bay Covers, which is nice. It also adds another spot for a filtered Gentle Typhoon Fan. Sweet. Wish there was no Lian Li logo, but it looks nice in any case. If I need more space later, I will add the Silverstone CFP53B HD Cage to the FT02's Tool Less HD Rack area, and custom mount it somehow (the measurements do fit right in there):
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...ard_Drive_Cage_w_Suspension_Mount_CFP53B.html
But I don't need more than 3 HD Racks plus the FT02's SSD Bracket for now. By the time I do, I will be in that TJ11. I would like to try and watercool my upcoming TJ11 and two of these Lian Li HD Racks will come in handy. This would give me 6 HD Racks plus 3 TJ11 SSD Brackets, and now I'm free to use the bottom area for Radiators and Dual PSU's, and this only leaves 3 Drive Bays for disc drives... and everyone was complaining that the TJ11's 9 Drive Bays where too many, but I managed![]()
With that, can anyone tell me how much clearance there is between the side panel and the back of the motherboard tray of the FT02?
You have 3/4" between the mobo tray and side panel. I use cable clips in mine. I use 3/8" diameter ones and 1/2" ones.
You can probably remove the Lian-Li logo on the cage. Also the CFP53B is significantly cheaper on Amazon.
The TJ11's hard drive cages down below can be moved to the 5.25" bays easily. I don't know how many hard drives you'll have, but that's an awful lot if you plan on having the two you're buying now in addition to the included TJ11 ones.
So one will be enough for now, but even with two of these Lian Li HD things, I will only have 6 HD Drive slots and 3 SSD Slots in the TJ11. I want to reserve the TJ11's bottom compartment for watercooling.
? The TJ11 has two three drive racks in the bottom compartment. both of these racks can be unscrewed from the bottom and moved up into the 5.25" bays, so if you have those, PLUS another two Lian-Li bays you'll be able to have 12 drives, not six.

try plugging in the wires ahead of time, and get a right angle sata cable.my only grip about this case is that my bluray drive is pretty long.... it won't fit in the top slot.

You are not getting me, I'm not using those Silverstone HD Caddies, they are not up to my standards , the arm is not designed to secure itself and the caddies slide out of their spot at the slightest tilt of the case when moving it. Unacceptable for me. The SATA wires actually hold the drive in place more than the caddies do! The Lian Li HD rack is handy, seeing as it adds more filtered airflow and superior HD mounting, IMHO. It can be moved to any machine too.
There is no perfect case, especially with tool less designs which I find hit or miss for me. I still want that TJ11, which I think will be the best case on the market for some time, despite that I hate the Silverstone HD rack design. The FT02 is nice overall for the money, but I'm eyeing a higher end Lian Li or TJ11 for later.
If your HDD caddies are sliding out, your case is defective and the whole thing needs to be replaced according to Tony. I asked him about this issue before.
Fuck me that's a nice system. How are the SLI 460's in NV Surround?
