I understand what you are saying but what we have seen so far in Battlefield 5 is underwhelming and it had to be turned down for the hardware. 2 signs that we are not there yet.I hope you are wrong there. We have already seen how powerful the new series from Nvidia is, and the huge performance cost of enabling Ray Tracing. If what you say is true, it could literally take them 10 years or more before that came to pass. I'm very hyped about it and want AMD to get on board.
There is a good change that if this continues we will start to see over the top graphics to compensate in the next few releases just to draw people in.
Let AMD catchup with their 2021 architecture then see what it is going on. If that works then a next step could be ray tracing if they figured it out yet.
There still rumours of ray tracing in the next batch of consoles.
