Quick question on mounting Liang D5

Hey guys, just a really quick question...

I have a Danger Den cooling kit, and it comes with a liang D5... I am running it in a cooler master mystique I got on a great deal. Only problem is the PCI slots go all the way to the bottom of the case leaving no room on the bottom where I would normally place the pump.

Now I can get the pump in the bottom at a slight angle, but it is not anchored down in any way. I was wondering if it is umportant to have the pump anchored for to keep it from vibrating, or if it should be safe just sitting there at a slight angle....

It'd probably be okay without being mounted, but it will vibrate a lot. Look at (UN)Designs brackets and maybe look into mounting the pump on the bracket on the HD cage or something.

Heavy duty Velcro might be an option.

Here is a very old pic, but it shows my D5 at an angle - and it's still working fine. The petra pad it lies on absorbs all the vibrations and the pump, when set to level 3, is effectively silent. In fact if I had anchored it to the case, the vibrations would be worse. So you're fine, just make sure you have a good anti-vibration pad underneath it.

I thought I had heard long ago that the pumps need to be securly fastened or the will ware out. After this and much googling.... that seems to be a total myth!!!
