Will the Rosewill 1000w Modular, Active PFC, 80+ Bronze Certified, Power Supply Unit work with the Asus P7P55D Deluxe mobo and the HIS H587F1GDG Radeon HD 5870?

If so, would the Corsair 850TX still be a better choice?

Rosewill will probably be OK, but don't expect great efficiency (means more heat and more power draw) and also might risk your pc parts.

I plan on getting the i7-860.

Just trying to get the best bang for the buck and newegg has a good deal for that rosewill. However, I don't want to sacrifice quality.

Probably, although I can't find much information about that PSU or about its quality. In any case, 1000W is much more than you need.

It's almost certainly a better quality PSU. However, it's still much more than you need, and there's no reason for you to spend that much money.

Not necessarily. Most current Rosewill PSUs are actually decent.

For only a single processor and a single graphics card..heck yeah 750W is more than enough...even if you OC the card and the processor.

Interesting viewpoint, a direct contradiction in the only sentence you wrote.

At $99 with free shipping this PS is probably the best bang for the buck deal on a PS that Newegg has right now. To begin with, Roswell doesn't make any PS's; they are all OEM'd by other companies. Some are crappy and some are very good. As has been already pointed out, the high efficiency ones seem pretty good, and this one is 80+ Bronze rated. It's also modular. One would be hard pressed to find a 650w PS with the same specs at this price.

Other things to take into consideration are: do you want known, verified performance measurements (reviewed by a trusted site), a higher sustained operating temp (the Rosewill is 40C), longer warranty (3 years for the Rosewill) and a "better" brand name. You hasve to figure out what gives you a warm fuzzy.
