psp countdown

10 minutes.

I'm going to hold off for a few months just to give them time to work out the kinks in manufacturing. I try to avoid getting first-shipment releases.

If you think about its actually second shipment psps. Japan was first and were able to fix the problems. Thats why i`m picking mine up tomorrow morning.
 
15 mins till midnight, but i have to wait another 10 hours for gamestop to open up :(
 
Instead of playing WoW tonight I'm going to go to sleep. Sleeping is like time travel. :p
 
got mine along with rivals, spiderman2, and thug2. Rivals I cant say I am impressed with, the console NFSU1 was better, NFSU2 destroys it. Spiderman 2 and THUG 2 are great tho. Time to go drain my battery :D

I got my PSP at 7AM this morning, and have been playing spiderman2 and thug all day. My friend got RR and Wipeout, but since mere mortals coudlnt get the system till tonight, I forced him to bring them over so I coudl sample, and they were great. Rivals I played once for about a half hour, and got bored to be honest. The other underground games put it to shame. I will get them both, along with lumines tomorrow. I spent aorund $350 for what I have how, I think that was enough damage in one day.

BTW, my battary is dead again, 4th time today. If anyone is wondering, it only takes about an hour to charge, which isnt terrable.

And, one thing to think about, does anyone else find it slightly stupid that the game cases are bigger than the system? Why didnt they yse the little guys?
 
woooo went to walmart this morning. i was the ONLY one there... got there at 6:55 and was outta there by 7:10

they had 3 big boxes of psp's so i dont think they will be hard to get around here. now i have to go to school tho :(

thug2 on this thing is AMAZING
too bad it doesnt come fully charged
 
got mine at walmart also this morning - only 2 people @ the time (7:15a). No games, the selection kinda sucked - heading out to best buy @ lunch to pick something up. At least I got the hardware.

oh, and the case that comes in the value pack is really cheesy. I'll be getting another one this afternoon.
 
Need for Speed Rivals is the only game I have so far, and its awesome. I would have gotten Ridge Racer but I'm saving my realistic racing game for GT4.
 
Best Buy sucks ass. I was waiting outside one of the stores and the drones and management were telling people that they are only selling the bundle packs which included value pack, choice of 2 games, 128MB MSDuo, Accessory pack, gamefly for $390. People weren't happy. People wanted what their ad said which was $249. When they finally opened up, they had plenty of value packs to go around.
 
i got mine this morning delievered at work. it is pretty impressive. i played a little tiger woods so far. the load times when you start the game take a while. however, it looks really, really good. but i wouldn't say the load times on tiger woods are worse than on a ps2 game or a pc game for that matter.

the trade, off i think, is with the media. compared to cartridge, load times are slow (well, there really isnt load time on a cartridge)...however, there is much more capacity on a disc compared to a cartridge...which i think is a huge benefit and a good trade off compared to a cartridge.
 
I'm holding out too. Just gonna wait till they release the slimmed down pack, and a new version. But a sweet machine none the less. I was kinda hoping there would be one on meh desk, but no luck :D
