I have been getting some 59xx projects on my GTX200 cards and only get like 3500PPD on these projects.

Is anyone else seeing that?
 
Don't have any currently. I'll let ya know if I see one.
 
Nope, haven't seen anything like that. What are the point values? The only 59xx projects I've been getting recently have been 1888-point WUs and they're all running at 7300-7400PPD on my GTX260.
 
UPDATE: Well my other box just picked up two of them as well and they are running full speed ahead.

So it must be something in my settings on this box.
 
Just to add, I'm running a P5913 @ ~7500 PPD (which is a tad low for them, usually around 8k+ PPD) on one of my GTX280s. I should mow through it in a few hours. So I guess it was just a small anomaly on you're machine.

OT question: How long does it take the [H] F@H site to update your accurate PPD? I've been running at no less than 16,000 PPD on one (out of 6) of my rigs for a few days now and my badge still only shows around 10k PPD.

Hmm, weird, now I have a P5912 and my GTX280's only doing like 3k PPD on it..?? Weird. I hope this is just the WU and not some config issue, though they've been at ~ 8k PPD for the past few days. I'm also running a P5787 WU my other 280 and it's only getting like 5.7k. I checked RivaTuner and it says the GPU running the P5912 WU is only running at 300 MHz instead of 602 Mhz default for 3D clocks, so it's like stuck in 2D Clock mode for some reason. Core temp is also only 55 C., so it's not being stress that hard. Any thoughts?
 
I have a 5913 running on my 8800GT at the moment and it's only doing 4k PPD. This is the lowest PPD I've seen in a long time on this card. 353 pointers usually do around 5700PPD and 787 pointers usually do around 5k PPD I think. There are some 472 pointers ? that I get on occasion which do around 4600PPD if I remember correctly. I didn't do any GPU folding for a number of months but I don't remember 1888 pointers going as slow as the current 4k PPD.

 
Yea i have gotten a few more of these and I have had 3 so far completely hang and lockup and I had to delete the work folder. :(
 
I'm just baffled as to why it's not running at 3D clocks. It's not even stressing the card right now. I'll let it work through it, I guess though and check it in the morn.
 
5915 taking so long, the Displayer gives no time estimate.

EDIT: I had a 7 hour pause... stupid me, forgetting to check the setting before leaving.

About 15 hours... so far? (adding up the times) 96 percent, though

EDIT: It finally finished. 10:51 pst PM.

It better be a big point WU...

im avging 4700 PPD on the 1888 point WU's (i got stuck with 5 of them in a row today.. finally got my first 787 pointer for the day).. with an 8800GT @ 735/1836/1005.. had to drop my overclock because supreme commander: forged alliance doesnt like the 760/1890/1015 overclock.. and well im addicted to that game again and im to lazy to keep changing my overclock everything im done playing..

Use the nVidia system tools, (download from nVIdia site, under driver search area).

Set a policy to load a OC profile upon boot.

Set another to load a downclock profile upon launching a game, and load the OC profile after the game exits.

i have the nvidia system tools.. but im done screwing with anything nvidia.. this is the last nvidia card ill ever own unless ATI some how goes bankrupt.. id rather deal with ATI's slowly updated drivers that i know will probably have issues.. then deal with nvidias weekly updates and hoping that the drivers dont screw something up..

but still all thats way to much work.. also nvidia's overclocking tool claims my overclock isnt stable so using that wouldnt work anyways.. i could setup profiles in rivatuner.. but at this point it really doesnt matter to me anymore..
 
Yeah, I've always had a profile in Rivatuner to load a OC profile upon startup. I tried searching through all the options in it too to see if there was some option to force 3D clocks, but I didn't find any. I forgot to check it this morning before going to work. Hopefully it's back at full speed now.

OT: I'm used to ATI cards too, these GTX280s are my first endeavor on the green team since I started gaming/building PCs back in '04. I never did understand peoples argument over ATi's slow driver updates and/or driver issues. As I never had any issues with ATi drivers with the last three cards I've had (X850XT PE, X1900XTX, HD2600XT). I plan on getting a 5XXX series card in the next few months. These GTX cards haven't been too bad though, still. I am running Win7 RC1 still, so it could be that being a little buggy.
 
Well I checked back today after I got off work and both my GPUs were running at half what they should be (around 4k PPD). So I checked the "-gpu x" switches on the target paths to make sure they weren't sharing the same GPU (which I accidentally did when I initially set up my 2nd GPU). They were good, so I referenced Xilikon's guide again. Seems I missed the part at the end where it tells you to change the options in the advanced tab to "Do NOT lock cores to specific CPU" and I had the same Machine ID for both GPU clients, heh. So essentially it was splitting both WUs to work on one of my GPUs, which is why one of mine was pretty much idling and running at 2D clocks. Back up to 2x 8k PPD now :D.

Just though I'd post in case someone else had the same prob. So it wasn't the WUs fault, just a config error as I assumed :eek:.
 
Well I have churned through a bunch of 5913's today and PPD seems to be normal again.
I think there were just some tough WU's out in the wild.
