There is hope.

Prescotts and Preslers. 90nm and 65nm P4s. They overclock so high with liquid nitrogen cooling them.annaconda said:Ok are we missing something here. What are these processor, and how the hell they overclock so high?

No, but if you go to the XS link posted above you can see some legit CPU-Z screens at 7ghz. The problem is, screenshots are about the only thing systems like this can do, not to mention their LN2 runs out and all the fun is over. Also, when they're benchmarking these cpus at voltages close to 3v, their life spans are significantly decreased.Lestat0521 said:Can we even verify that is a legit cpu-z screen?

I run my P4 at 100% load on a consistent basis, as do many others.2Fresh said:And being Prime stable does not mean shit. Like your ever going to use your cpu at 100% for hours on end...

2Fresh said:Some people think it is a must, I dont. As long as I can run what I want and never have a problem...no point.
I base my oc stability on what I run. I run what I want with no probs.
2Fresh said:I am not going to get into it with you, all it does is cause both of us problems.
Use Prime if you want, that is your choice. I am just saying it is not a must.
I was not slamming anyone. I just dont see how it is so great he hit 6Ghz..I mean, yeah..wow...6Ghz, but being able to do nothing with (except pop into win and hurry and snap a screenie) it makes it kinda pointless. I dont see how stating that is slamming a person.
