Yeah, my Paradigm Mini Monitors (v3) have been exceptional since day one. Had'em for 7.5 years now. :)

beautiful sony lcd monitor, sony used to make the best computer monitors a while back. then they stoped for silly reasons imo. i think, the reason was, they weren't making a profit. maybe not that silly...:(:)

My setup hasn't changed in a while but hopefully this fall it'll look entirely different. Some things I plan on purchasing:

Ikea Galant Black Corner Desk
Dell U2410 24" LCD (2?)
Sandy Bridge System (currently running C2Q w/ 9800GTX+)

Nothing special here but it gets the job done. I need to add a shelf for my monitors and a drawer for my random stuff so I have more room for school work.

My bookshelf is a mess... Kind of disappointed in myself lol.

does your receiver get hot and full of fur that close to the floor with no airflow?
I have the back of the cabinet open.
As far as dirt, its no worse than anything else. Besides I blow it out every few months or so. Its never given me any problems.

It may overheat if I ever had the volume cranked up for a long period of time. Having an efficient and near field setup means that the the amplifier is barely used. I'd say no more than 5 watts are needed except on rare occasions.

However at some point I want to get a shelf type floor stand instead and migrate the computer into an HTPC style case.

@nimbyfaygo I like how you matte'd out the speaker panels for your insignias...I may just have to bite on that idea. = )

Its a good idea, I never liked how they looks all glossy. It took all of 10 min (except drying time) and your able to use speakers in the meantime.

I made the computer myself-- it is liquid cooled and fairly small, yet powerful and quiet!

I'm happy to see you also like using chiclet key Apple keyboard with numpad for a PC. Some have questioned why I use one, but I just find typing on it really comfortable.

Yea, the apple keyboard works fine. I wish I could remap some of the keys. I still think it is stilly that Apple won't release a driver for PC for it-- only for bootcamp. *bleh*.

I really, REALLY REALLY miss my BTC 6300CL, though. It had an accident with a fan while I was making this computer, and some of the keycaps were broken.

I still wish I could find SOMEONE who'd sell one to me :)

You can remap keys on any PC keyboard. Except for a couple of keys, is Apple keyboard any different from a "normal" USB keyboard?

Unfortunately no build log, but I do have pictures of it posted elsewhere, and also those of 'orangebox'.

They're both mini-itx cases. If I ever decide to go SLI I'll make a micro-atx case-- should be just a hair bigger than these.

Someone here has asked me to make them a case like this. It'll be my first time making a case for anyone other than myself-- assuming it happens, I'll post a build log of it.

Here is a link to one of the pictures from when I was building it: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/pHHM0RpBGlq0JgYsCSeUVw?feat=directlink

The next project for myself is an oil-submerged, *sealed* case. I have to make the bulkhead PCB (that will allow for wired IO without having to have an opening through which the oil could escape)-- the rest is easy. I've already made the part that carries all the oil, HD carriages (the HDs are outside the oil), etc.
Here is a gallery of the few images I've bothered to take of it: https://picasaweb.google.com/108235972789266631973/Clearoil?authkey=Gv1sRgCL3izLOyu4r_iwE#

As you can tell-- I'm new to the forum-- where would I post a buildlog?

re: apple keyboard

Some of the keys aren't mappable, and that is annoying-- I don't have a printscreen nor sysreq key, for instance. I've obviously mapped the important stuff though :)

I love the Apple-powered trash can! Are you running an i3? How about RAM? Must play games nicely xD

That trash can run anything game I throw at it with settings maxed out. I mean, it better since I paid twice as much as a generic trash can.
