I thought his was bigger too until I saw your sig.

That's what *he/she said*

And yea..it's that stand of his that's deceiving.

Looks amazing, Sandman! I had a Jerker in that same color, too. Your setup has me all fired up to get my 3008WFP. It should arrive by Friday. :)

Thanks Wolf! Which desk do you have now? You better post it once you get your 3008WFP. I would've gotten the 3008 but the 2007 was only $625 from the Dell Outlet when I bought it. :D

I'll definitely post pics/comments. I don't think anyone here on [H] has a 3008, or at least I couldn't find one in any of the picture threads. I bought my 3008 from the Dell outlet, too. I need more connectivity options than are available on the 3007 or I'd have opted for one at those killer prices.

I switched to a Galant because I needed more space and wanted an L-shaped desk to fit in the corner of my office area.

Moved my computer inside it's new Blackbird home...and then moved the desk to the other side of my room. It's a perfect nook for my desk and computer. Don't mind the wallpaper...

Welcome to hardforum man!
Great setup too!! I love your speakers! They look amazing. As well as the screen! Gloss is nice... sometimes

Thanks. Maybe I added too many pics? heheh. Well I took some more and I picked my favorite one. Now If I could only get Samsung to give me updated firmware for my TV :(

Ain't that truth??? I remember when my 24" 2407 seemed huge. Now, it's too small.

Y'know, we could post these comments exactly as they're written in another, shall we say --- morally casual --- forum, and they'd mean something completely different. :p

22" seem huge to me. I'm currently using a 17" LCD from like 2003. :(

Screen is Samsung 40" LNT-4081f LED LCD. LCR speakers are Miller & Kreisel S100B SR and SL speakers are Miller & Kreisel 55THX. 12" Velodyne subwoofer. Harmon/Kardon AVR 500 reciever.
Love those speakers!!! A friend in California has a huge home theater and it's all M&K speakers. Unreal sound!!

How are you liking your Blackbird? :)

the samsung website had fw updates for my ln37a550 but after checking i noticed it already shipped with both updates, i'm able to update via usb key, i'm guessing you checked the website for updates huh?

Quick and dirty pictures for you guys:

Immediately after taking these pictures I took my can of air to the front filter of my 300. Didn't realize it had gotten that bad. I guess that is what I get for living in an apartment with new carpet and having a down comforter :(

I don't mess with the cables much because my system gets moved around constantly. As long as they're out of the way so the don't get rolled on by my chair or I don't kick anything and unplug it, we're good.

The EVGA card is my old 8800GTS that used to be in the girlfriend's rig until it died the other day. Waiting til Wednesday (Payday!) to pack it up and send it off for the RMA.

How are you liking your Blackbird? :)

Like I said...it's just the case, but what a case! I was originally planning on buying a Blackbird after I graduated from college this year and saved up some money, but seeing as how HP Voodoo has declined to put i7 procs in the Blackbird and killed it, I had to jump on the opportunity to buy the chassis (I really only wanted the case anyway). I'm quite satisfied with the purchase and I can keep the components *I* chose as opposed to being stuck on a 780i board with 9800GTs. Well worth the price paid.

What is that little hp box thing on the left hand side?

SFF LAN rig and file server, you think I should add another w1907 on the left?

View from the bed.

The media center; has an xbox360, HTPC, and HD digital cable. With netflix, a bluray player, and cable's on demand service I think i'll be alright :D

Storage, it used to be worse :(

board2death986, whenever i see your setup, i want to put my secondary PC right where my bed is for movies, tv shows, and music. I like how you've got the "workstation" at the desk, and the lazystation by/at your bed! haha. Nice stuff!
Also, that storage is really nice! Seems nicely organized!

I moved from a 17" LCD to a 22.... and I can't even play on a 17" LCD anymore... too small lol...

One of my friends jsut got a Samsung 26" .. absolutely gorgeous.

I went from a 15in, to a 19in.. thought the 19in was HUGE... then i got my 22in. It's a lot bigger than the 19in.. but everytime i see a 24, or a 26in-er.. i'm tempted.. ^_^

Haha - Yeah, I'm very tempted to move up to another monitor size myself.

I started out with a 17", then I'm currently at the 17" and the 19" Widescreen, but really want to get a hold of a 22" Widescreen or a 30" Widescreen :)

I'm using the 28 inch Hanns-G. They backlighting can be a little funky but I like it. I wish I had gone with just a 24 honestly. I'm about to pick up dual 22's or 24's and use the 28 for a tv in my bedroom.

Well samsung removed most all info and updates for my tv on their site, since its an 07 model. I found out from a couple of other forums that I have original firmware 1003. There are firmware versions 1003, 1007, 1008.3, and 1009. Samsung is giving me a real hard time to get an update claiming that updates dont even exist. They could just email it to me but I im starting to climb up the chain and I am talking to supervisors now. They told me a samsung authorized technician would contact me in a few days and come out to inspect my tv. I didnt get a call. Im going to yell at them some more tomorrow.

22" just doesnt cut it for me, the text is way harder to read than a 24". Just got a new 24" and boy is it heads over heels better than my 22". If you want a compromise between 22" and 30" a 24" is perfect.

This might've been answered and if it was I apologize, but what desk is that?

Amazing setup, by the way.
IKEA Jerker desk. Sadly, it was discontinued in early 2007. Check Craig's List for used Jerkers at pretty good prices.
