This is my current workstation, it has seen many configurations, but I like this fairly well. It's about the best I can do on my budget, which isn't much . If anything catches your eye I have some worklogs on my website. And a few youtube videos under the username ibanez3434

^^^^

do you like the new Z series speakers of logitech? i'm planning to ditch my Z-2300 and get the newer model.

Put down new floors in the bedrooms. Took a few pictures while I was setting the desk back up. Not finished yet, certainly wont be perfect, and I need to grab shorter screws for the board, hangs too low.

sweet idea!!

That chair looks f***ing awesome! Details!

It's heaven for my ass!!!! It was between this Ergohuman or a Herman Miller Aeron. I couldn't see myself spending $1k+ cash on a chair [I prefer not to use credit], plus the Ergohuman had the headrest I wanted. I ordered it, had it in one week, took 20 minutes to put together and now life is good! Best money I've ever spent.

No offense to you, but my ass is not worth the 607 dollars that chair costs....lol.....

LOL! I work from home and sit in that chair for about 10 hours a day and then go to school, come back and sit in it again for 2-3 hours for homework, gaming, etc. So saving my back was worth the price. Luckily when I ordered it, I caught a sale and got a nice discount...the chair cost me $443 shipped.

And that would be the difference. I work outside my house, if I worked from home justification of something like that would be easy...not that I can really talk about spending when I have around 10k in computer/audio gear lying around though....:p

Out of curiosity what monitors are you running across those setups?

Trust me, it was hard to spend that much money on just a chair...and then I realized I blow through that kind of money on all kinds of electronics and hobbies-so my body is worth it too!

From left to right: Dell 17" 1708FP, Dell 20" 2009W, Hanns-G 28" HG281DPB, Dell 22" 2209WA

How do you like those Dells? Been looking at replacing one of my crappy dual 19" Envision H191W's with a Dell SP2309W and keeping the other 19's as a secondary monitor flipped vertical.

The Dell's are solid. The work monitors are nothing special, but they do do their job of showing me spreadsheets, PDF's, and emails. The 2209WA is a fantastic monitor. It was my main monitor until I got the 28" and it did great at gaming 1680x1050 @ 75Hz, and the color reproductive was fantastic for photo editing.

^^ We have those chairs at work... They arn't that great... Some people love them, most hate them.

Another happy Aeron owner here who ends up in it for 8-12 hrs a day between work and personal computer use. Got hooked on in when I used to have them at my office in NYC.

nice setup .. what lcd arms are u using ? im looking to buy one for my 30 inch dell

Got done building my desk over the weekend. Made it using a 32" x 80" solid core slab door, and some legs I ordered from Ikea. Stained it with some coats of ebony stain, and finished it with some coats of polyurethane. I'm extremely happy with how it came out. I love this thing. It's exactly what I wanted, and it only cost a total of ~$70 plus a decent amount of labor. :)

Man, that's a really awesome job you did there! I'm gonna have to steal that idea from you once I upgrade to a house :)

Thanks for the comments :)

Actually, I used to be able to close the doors, but the new HAF case is too long :p

I'm fine with it though. I love my new rig!

Monitor: Dell U2410 w/ Ergotron LX Desk Mount
Keyboard: Logitech Illuminated Keyboard
Mice: Razer Deathadder (Changed back from Mamba cause I hated the charging factor of the Mamba), Orochi, Logitech VX550, MX1100 (To control desktop from bed)
Speakers: KRK Rokit Powered 5's & KRK 10S 10" Sub
Printers: HP C6380 and HP LaserJet 3050
Colour Calibrator: Pantone Huey Pro
Modem: Billion 7300N

Very soon, I'll be adding a MacAir to the workstation as its required by my line of work (design).. :)

PS: Notice the much improved cable management under my desk.. haha!

You need some HTC Hero love :p (more ram is amzing :))
The Hero has my attention, but I love a QWERTY slider. The MotoDroid have superseded the Hero in lust-factor.
What is that charging stand you are using? Link?
I found it, open-box, after searching high-and-low, for $16. And, now, I can't find where I found it. I will try to come back if I can find it.

Looking at getting the KRK Rokit 6's myself. Did you "really" need the sub or just added it because? I am debating if I need to get that to start with or just start with the Rokit 6's

Just finished making my new desk last night. I rescued a hardwood table top and made some legs out of steel tubing. my original plan was to have only one leg on the near left side and attach it the the wall on the back and right side. Turns out the wall is pretty shitty so I added 2 extra legs (didn't have enough spare tubing for a 4th lol) and stabilized it with 3 L joints, 2 on the right at either corner, and one on the back on the middle. Everything is bolted together...

willy88, you have a very clean setup and an even better view. I like that room a lot. Can you take pics of the whole thing?
