My first post in this thread but I have read all of it... at some of those setups. While mines isn't as [H] as some I think its worth posting :p (sorry about the picture quality my flatmate's camera sucks).

- Old HP Pavilion Laptop (old as in Pentium M so not that old I guess though it sure is slow).
- (under desk) Crappy 21" TV I used to use for my 360 before I got the Dell Monitor (Some games don't render properly at 1280x1024 which is the default res of the smaller LCD).
- Dell 2707WFP 27" LCD ... man I love this monitor.
- Viewsonic VX922 19" LCD my old monitor.
- Razer Lycosa keyboard
- Razer DeathAdder mouse
- Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Speakers
- iPod Video 5G
- Xbox 360 Premium
- Sennheiser PC161 Headphones
- Cheap (well free) Dell Photo 926 Printer which came with the 2707WFP.

wehat kinda bike is that? Do you race at all?

Its a Fuji Team and yea I do race in most of the commercial (not club) races they have around here (Christchurch, New Zealand). I don't do enough training to be up with the winners though, I tend to get in the top 10-15% in most events.

I almost bought that Lian Li PC-V2000B Plus II case but decided it was probably going to be a little too much. Nice and clean setup though.

So just road racing? Any triathlons? I hooked up a carbon stryke aero bar on my cannondale r5000. Seems to work well in tri's.

The case is great except that the standard sata cables which came with my motherboard only just reach from the hard drives to the sata ports and the length of the 8800GTX only makes this worse. Other than this problem (which kinda of messes up my cable management) I love the case. Everything fits, is kept cool and looks great.

Yea just road racing for me. I like cycling and running (mountain running more than road running actually) but I am hopeless at swimming. Aero bars are great for solo riding so would be perfect for triathlons but in bunches things get a bit dodgy if you try and use them. My multisport event of choice is the Coast To Coast but I couldn't do it this year because I have Glandular Fever (mononucleosis) at the moment which was a great excuse for sitting around and playing games all day for the first few weeks but now is damn annoying seeing as I can't use that bike which I have only ridden twice since I got it for my birthday in December.

That Cannondale you have is an awesome bike. I need to get some Ksyrium wheels for mine but I have run out of money after upgrading half my computer and buying the 2707WFP.

tell me about those wheel upgrades! I've been drooling over some race wheels recently. Zipps are too damn pricey but the new HEDs aren't too shabby. Get well soon. Nothing like the enjoyment of hauling ass on your bike!

Anyways, got an LIAN LI PC-7B plus II instead for my recent build. Only issue i have with it are the ports being at the bottom of the case. I wish they were placed a little higher....like the top of the case.

ok finally got some pics

I must know where you got that desk!!!

I must know where you got that desk!!!

I'm not sure me telling you is going to help since I live in New Zealand but the store was called Office Supplies I think and the desk cost something like $600 New Zealand (which is roughly $400-$450 US). It is a great desk though and I think you can buy extensions so that the right side is the same as the left.

@kazak

The wheels that come standard on your bike are pretty decent (like the top end of what I was looking at as an upgrade :p) but then again compared to the rest of your bike they aren't that great I guess. I think I'll be alright in a few more weeks so then I can get back on the bike.

The PC-7B is a great looking case, I was thinking of getting that one as well but decided I couldn't fit enough HDDs in it and was a bit worried about whether the GTX would fit. The ports are at the bottom on the V2000 as well but my keyboard has a USB port in it and the Dell monitor has two so its not too much of a problem.

My desk... I bought it from a school that closed for about $50. It's solid wood and has tons of space. I love it. The two floor standing speakers are Klipsch F-3's, the two sitting on the desk are some older Sony bookshelf speakers, and then an 8" Sony sub sits underneath.

Getting closer...
IMG_1334.jpg

My desk top. Samsung laser printer, Sony receiver to run my Klipsch and Sony speakers with sub. My trusty MX300 mouse that I've had for years (yes, I use a mouse left handed), and my ergonomic keyboard which has cured my carpal tunnel. I"ve got two sets of headphones. The Sennheiser HD 280 Pros get the most use with the X-Fi, then I've got some Logitech USB headphones with mic if I need to voice chat (plug in USB and it's the default sound card, unplug it and the X-Fi is back in control, works really well so far).
IMG_1335.jpg

The same pictures without a flash. I suck at photography.
IMG_1336.jpg

My chair.
IMG_1337.jpg

The case on the left is a working Pentium 90mhz with a Sound Blaster 16. I've also got an MPU-401 card that I use to attach a Roland MT-32. If you like playing DOS games, even in DosBox, I recommend picking up an MT-32 synth. It make those old games shine. The case on the right is some Enlight case I bought like 10 years ago that I can't seem to get rid of. It has lots of stickers on the sides from my Quakecon and CPL travels. I love those old serial keyboards.
IMG_1338.jpg

I just moved my PC to this Cooler Master case after being in the above Enlight case for a couple years (the old case has had about 4 or 5 different systems in it). It was really weird going to a new case after using the same old one for so long. It has all these fancy features like... room inside.

Yea it is an awesome bike so far. Way better than my old bike it replaced; a bit like going from a P4 to a C2D I would say.

@Steve

Amazing setup(s) but why do you have two 360s? Is it because you bought the Elite for the HDMI and already had one?

It would take most of us 10 years to play/watch all those stuff.

Here is my Torture Rack. Also the desk is made by me. Very sturdy and large sized. This PC is very very quiet. No HD noise because of the Solid State drive.

Haven't you heard?

Steve is seven feet tall, consumes n00bs with fireballs from his eyes and lightning bolts from his arse! ;)

To keep with this proverbial kissing Steves media filled ass, I will say this, if he had people over and one was a nerd, he would instantly turn gay and want to live out the rest of his life under his desk.

Nerdgasms galore!!!!!

.....Steve can I come over and play????

Please tell me your not mixing the coolant water with the bong water . and if you are can we maby get video of you after. Might be interesting..lol

Looks like i'm not the only one who puts screwdrivers in their pen cup.

Setup my dual monitors again, post pics later.

Well I guess it's time for me to post again. It's been a year or so and I started playing around with photo-stitching software for taking panoramic shots with a standard digital camera. Here's my workshop as it stands tonight (changes from day to day depending on the workload that week)...

workshop02.jpg

For anyone interested, I used hugin to stitch 27 pics in 3 passes for the entire room -taken from the corner of the entrance with a tripod. You can bet I'll be having a lot more fun with this software in the near future!!

my new setup with everything in the other room. now that i have more space between the futon and desk its great :). i'll post updated pics when i'm finished and put my speakers up next week when i get them :).

If I was Steve's friend, every time I came over I'd steal a DVD or two at a time. He'd never notice...

Pro collection btw.

matrix563: I have the same laptop! Is it also falling apart?

it could be because I have carried it to and from school everyday for four years but;

The headphone jack doesn't work, and the speakers are spotty

The Hardrive is giving out the click of death and takes forever to boot into windows, not a virus problem

The battery only lasts for 15 minutes or so, and the screen has some darkened spots

I hope your experience with this laptop was better than mine!

lol nope thats not my laptop. its my coworker's :D. i am fixing it for her :). mine is on teh stand next to my 24 inch monitor :). xt5000t by everex :)
