We can at least chuckle at yet another AOL subscriber who has yet to learn... is that TWO AOL icons I see? *checks* yup. Who needs two AOL accounts? I mean, one is bad enough... :rolleyes:
 
ok... the thing im thinking you are referring to is my buddy list. The program is Adium X. I have it set so only the avatars show. No way in hell would I have subscribed to AOL (left after 4.0 when broadband hit my area). I do have one AIM account for the majority of my friends that use it.

I thought it was pretty obvious that is a buddy list ;-/ Those without avatars default to that stupid AOL icon. And rest assurred, none of those people are using AOL :) They are connected to the University line from their dorms.

So yea.. starhawk hopefully you learn to distinguish from a buddy list to a set of icons because you know... you made me cry when you called me a AOL subscriber :( :( :(

Hm. I don't use IMing, so I wouldn't have known. But why are there *two* of those stupid AOL icons there, in addition to the AIM icon?
 
Those people don't have an avatar or icon associated to their IM account. So the program defaults the icon to the logo of their IM service. It is sorta like how some forums display a default avatar for a member unless the person links up their own avatar.

I do wish they set one up because I dislike seeing those icons.

cant really help you w/ the icons and whatnot.

now, as for the typos, theres a backspace on your keyboard for a reason....

i never understood why people have grammatical errors in a post unless they honestly cant spell the word. there is a backspace key... use it... :rolleyes:
 
I appologize. I didn't realize they were there when I was typing it out. I would have corrected them, but I didn't think it would bew a huge problem for people. I'll delete the post and follow you around kneeling down everytime you turn around appologizing continuously in hopes I may somehow make it up to you.
