I've accumulated quite a few fans over the years

My large collection consists mostly of stock case fans I've removed for more effective models. As such, it sits in a damp, dark place of my garage somewhere :p

when we moved i got rid of a bunch of noisy / malfunctioning ones

this is the spares collection as it remains now.

These are my "immediately available" fans. I have more in a sealed box stored (mostly 80mm), which i wouldn't bother to open just to take a photo:

I am very picky with fans and cpu coolers. I endlessly search for the ideal balance between silence, cooling and price.

Some people have a vice with watercooling, others with leds, others with windowed cases, mine is fans. :D :p

I am also fan of the motto "be prepared". Hence, even if the fan on my Scythe Rasetsu fails, i have ready the exact voltage regulated Scythe fan (bottom row, second from right).

After i stripped from my old case (CM Elite 334,supported only 2 fans :p )

And before assembly the new case :D Not included is 3 of Corsair stock fans.

I wish Noctua fans weren't that horrid beige/coffee horribleness...

I NO RITE!?!?!

But seriously, i would be all over them if they were black. They perform well, but they're uglier than the beige boxes of the 90's.

DEAR NOCTUA: Please make a fan that doesnt look like somebody shit in the coffee creamer. They look terrible in everything.

I agree. They are just hideous to look at. I suppose they had this idea, to come up with a colour scheme that would make Noctua fans easy to distinguish. And well, they did. Nobody else dares to use this hideous colour. But i am sure that they could have found another colour pattern that no other uses? They are awesome fans, but an aesthetic abomination. And since they cost a lot, you 'd expect a bit of consideration for your eyes on the part of Noctua.

Heh, I wish you had posted this a few months ago and I would have had a huge collection to show off. I had over 50 fans. I sold a bunch and tossed a bunch. Most of my fans were Sunon, Sanyo, Vantec, Scythe, or Yate loon. I had 16 Sunon 120x38s, 6 Sanyo 120x38s, 4 Vantec Stealth 120s, 4 Yate loon 120s, 4 Panaflo 80s, 2 Vantec Stealth 80s, 2 Scythe 40s, 2 Sunon 40s, and an assorted collection of fans that came with my cases/cpus. Now I am down to just my Antec Skeleton case with its huge top fan and 92mm HDD fan, and my Corsair H80 with its included fans, which I might swap out for another set of Sunons if I can find them on sale somewhere again.
