Woot! Got my 30/5 internet connection so now I get this:


This along with unlimited calling to US, Canada and Puerto Rico and like 20 calling features, two cables boxes, one HD and 200 channels + about 40 to 50 channels in HD mostly rebroadcasted channels in HD + 30 music or so and free movies every Tuesday at a movie theater all for a little over 100 bucks.
Not a bad deal with Optimum :D

i get the same as you but without HD, and only 5mbit down. for over 100

Redid some stuff last night and decided to retest since it's been awhile. The local hit since I live in Las Vegas:

Standard gold package is 768/128. Anytime from about 2pm - 1am the net is almost unusable here. Oversold bandwidth. There have been nights where dialup would have been faster. I would like to complain "again" but it doesn't do a bit of good as they are "working on the problem" as they have been since it went downhill somewhere 6 months to a year ago. Sadly no alternative unless you want to go back to dialup. Standard trace during cruddy hours....

I had the upload set low while it was downloading.
 


It's 6000/364 so I am doing a little better than expected. I have this service, expanded cable and a real twisted pair phone line (not VOIP) for $54.11 a month. I am pretty happy with this as far as bang for the buck goes. The Internet portion is $24.

£40 per month for 10mb, Phone, HD tv and second SD tv box.
 


Comcast recently upgraded its customers to 12mb for free. Maybe the steep price is beginning to pay off...
 


Comcast sent me a letter this morning saying that it had upgraded my internet download speed up to 15 Mbps. I was already getting around 10 or 9, so I ran a speed test to check for an improvement. I was surprised!

This is amazing. I felt the internet improve somewhat, but the real test will be downloading some big files. Anyone know of some fast servers? Preferrably some Linux distro or a video clip, a large file.

Epeen just got big again... Finally got some real net in my area.... uverse is effing fast.

ATT is sometimes FTL. They finally found my line as faulty, so no phone and internet down more than working for the past 2 months, F@$&Rs.
$30/month I think (1.5-3Mb, yeah, that means anywhere between 1.5 & 3 Mb, lol). Might go to the $35/month plan(3-6Mb).

40ping: __________________________________________________22 ping :D.
 
We had a windstorm on thursday, and some people lost power. Since then, my internet has been really really slow. I would assume its related. Lets hope whatever the problem is, its fixed soon.


An upload speed of 87kbs and a latency of 381 ms doesn't make for great online gaming.

Looking good. Looks like I can get my friends over here to LAN now that my upload speed is up to par. It used to be like 384kb/s :/
