That's one futuristic piece of equipment you've got there. It probably even has the Inhel processors from when Intel sells their soul to Satan to get rid of AMD.

Mind you I cleaned up my wiring like 2 minutes after I took this pic, took me 3 hours

And yes those are leopard sheets :D

Got quick question for you college folks... how do you transport your tower cases to and from the dorm during breaks? I want a full tower when I go off to college in August but will probably go the SFF route so I can carry it on the plane with me.

I, as a college folk, live within driving distance of my parents house, so I just trow my stuff in my car and take it their. However, my dorm doesn't kick us out during breaks, so I never really have to do it. I would suggest you invest in a decent laptop if you are worried about lugging your computer around.

i started they year with a nice shuttle xpc sff PC, and by mid-first semester i was feeling very limited by the upgradibility factor of the shuttle, and i wanted athlon-64. i ended up building the athlon system in my signature.

now what i do is keep the shuttle at home for weekends or whatever. and leave the amd64 rig at school except when we come home for more than a week which is not very often.
i bought this http://store.yahoo.com/svcompucycle/lpbag-22.html and it works awesome with my 17" LCD and my massivly heavy cooler master atc-710 sx2 (same size as those popular antec/chemming/dragon cases)

the case is prety sturdy......if you're that worried about the stuff inside take it out and put it in its respective boxes. My LCD is def gettin put back in its box for the car ride home, Even though I only live 125 miles away from school.

Yeah, car rides are no big deal, but what about going on a plane? I'll be going to college ~2000 miles away (New Orleans baby! woot!) and won't have a car, which means I'm flying back and forth. There's probably no way to ensure everything would be ok on an airplane short of dissembling everything and putting it into its respective boxes and hoping my bags don't get abused too heavily, eh? But then I have to find a place to put all the retail boxes...

Argh  Guess it's a Shuttle that I can carry on for me, then. Now to figure out how I'm gonna transport the 2405 I'm hoping to get...

transporting that 2405 could be risky, my recomendation would be to pack it up real good and ship it fed-ex with fulll insurance on it, that way if something does happen you can file a claim and hopefully get your money back.

sorry for crappy quality on first few, nasty glair from window. I think you get the idea thoug....

Heres some pics or my place at school, enjoy...

Is that an on campus dorm room?
If so which college and is that the standard desk that comes with the room?

Boy, that desk looks so much better then the POS they have at UMASS.

Nah, i live in an off campus appmt, i bought the desk at like pottery barn or something. :)

Yea startin college in the fall @ Northeastern and one of my biggest concerns is deskspace for my upcomming watercooled right and huge monitor :p

Oof. Desk space is not exactly plentiful at college. I'm at Guilford College and my desk is seriously cramped-- and I've got a relatively small lappy, mouse, and printer. That's basically it.

My desk is like 3-1/2' long. It's just stupid.

Yeah, I think that's the size of mine (sounds kinda bad :p ) but I was out looking for a desk today....and, well, I found one I really like at Wal-Mart...I didn't buy it yet...they were out, but as soon as there's more I'm gettin' it and I'l post more pics....hell, I'm movin' next week, I'll just be pic-post-happy in about 2 weeks! Anyways, the desk has lots of room, and it's a corner desk (I love corner desks)...there's plenty of shelving, and the keyboard sliding drwaer thing is in the middle, and so is the space for the monitor. I'm the type of person that needs the monitor, keyboard and speakers to be all centered, so it works our bitchin'! Anyways, just thought I'd share my thoughts. :)
