Post your 3dMark 2005 scores here. (Link to list in 1st post)

What CPU is everyone running who has 9700/9800?

I have a 2.53B with 9700 Pro getting around 800. Everyone else is getting 1200-1500. I think it's because of the CPU, but, just seeing.

Got 2084. Are you sure of your scores? Make sure AA and AF is off, and run the benchmark with all sliders in your CP at performance settings.

I got 5480.. this was set to default settings on nvidia 66.70.. This is my overall score which included the CPU tests.. Specs are:

Athlon64 3200+ @ 2480mhz(225fsb)
Asus K8V SE Deluxe
1gb OCZ Enhanced 2.5-3-2-6 @ 450mhz
PNY 6800GT @ 430 core/1150 memory

Do most ppl bench w/ the cpu tests on?

I only get a 4400's score..but I can run Doom3 demo1 at 1600x1200 with 4x FSAA and 8x AF, High Quality mode, "quality" ON in the Nvdia control panel, and I can get 43fps...playable. at 1280x1024 it gets 60fps...very playable and SWEET looking...

I say 3DM05 can suck it long and hard...

Got 5728 - Specs are in the sig. Using beta 8.07 cat drivers.

Hows that for not having the latest and greatest pricy equipment, other then the video card.

Specs in sig.

2757.

reply to the last post: I don't think that's a tweak, I think that's a bug...

Ahahah, I wish it was my score, its from a -85 celsius cooling modder named Sami Makkinen. The inquirer did a brief on it today.

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=18801

From the bottom of the article:

* WE ARE informed that Sami used a Cascade Compressor system to cool the graphics card and this setup can actually run twenty four hours a day.

How long do you think that card would last at those speeds? A couple of weeks?

cascade... 24x7... sure... Under controlled circumstances I bet.
Maybe that 24x7 is a whole week :p
Card probably will last longer than potential condensation problem. I wonder how he is proofing the whole card considering temperature invovled :)

Absolutely no idea. But if the chip itself is constant at temperatures closer to -200/absolute zero, without condensation it should theoretically last even longer than at room temperature. They have been cooling IBM supercomputer chips (not the controlling circuitry or capacitors) at cooler than -90 celsius for decades now.

What is going to degrade it is any extra voltage, and damage to the onboard capacitors if the electrolyte freezes inside of them. Although even if the caps are water-based, they are under pressure and have their own internal heat generation, so they should be good to maybe -20, anything below that and there is a risk it just won't "turn-over" like a car battery.

I'm assuming to get a 300mhz OC on his GPU he would need to increase the voltage by quite a bit.

Hell I need an extra .1volts to get my 6800 to 450mhz completely stable.

what gets me worried about all of the scores, especially mine, is that they drop EXACTLY 2000 pts. from 3dmark 03 to 05. hmm... wonder how much really changed?

Have only done one bench so far on my air rig. Phase is down indefinitely, or until I can find a free hell-fire max3
1st Preliminary 3dmark05'ing :

Non oc'd p4 3.2c
Viperjohn True XTPE, 640/600
on 4.9's
5090.

Today's benching
Viperjohn True XTPE, 640/591
on beta 8.07's
6380

Got 4160 on the first 4 or so tests. On the second marine animal test, halfway through loading the bar stopped and got all jittery then a huge black triangle glitched across the screen and the damn thing ran at 2 fps... Did that for the second run also, and at the exact same time.

bfg 6800gt, 400/1050
p4 3.0
1 gig ram....

Bah.

Game Score = 4596
CPU Score = 5050
Overall = 4596

3.2EE
eVGA 6800GT
Abit IC7-Max3
OCZ ddr 3200 2,3,2,5
Latest Forceware.

There appears to be lots of varied results with similar specs with 3DMark 05 so I am wondering if the drivers might have a part ot play in this.
Here is my score.

3DMark 05 score = 4674

See sig for pc spec.

*** Just removed DNA drivers and installed ATI 8.07Beta's ***

New 3DMark 05 score = 5482
