Actually, I've been doing the alien blasting via ET: Quake Wars. In many cases it seems to be getting way too easy lately although in some cases that seems to have been taken care of with the new 1.5 patch. It's obvious the range of the rocket launcher weapons has been decreased and I believe the weapon accuracy has also been decreased. Then again, it's been ages since I've used the rocket launcher weapons so I may just be remembering things incorrectly.
I should probably work on getting Orange Box working under Wine. I had it working somewhat before but something was off. It seems the problem wasn't even with Wine or Orange box compatibility but a problem with video drivers or something. I'd be more likely to play it as long as I don't have to boot into Windows to do so. That's been the major downfalls for World in Conflict and C&C3.
I just wish I could hook mine up to the regular tap. Water is included with the rent and the water that comes out of the tap is very cold, especially during the winter. I wouldn't need a radiator and the CPU temps would probably end up being sub-ambient. At that point I wouldn't mind pushing 1.5 volts into the quads to see what they would top out at.
The only downside would be buildup in the blocks and lines due to the tap water.

Lime and rust build up FTL! I've got a feeling blocks would clog fairly quickly, but if you immersed a triple rad into a large bucket with water flowing in and out you'd be golden!
I made it to Yellowstone National Park and back in one day. Dang long day!

Winter is still in full force in Yellowstone... even though this is May 24th! Lewis Lake was frozen over completely! And Yellowstone Lake was mostly frozen over! Wow! I have never witnesses this before... even when I have been there early in the season. But this is not so early any longer.
We had rain and snow almost all day. Over at Fishing Bridge it was 37 F and snowing. The animals were hiding somewhere warmer because we did not see lots of them. I saw more animals in Grand Teton on the way home tonight than in Yellowstone. Lots of Elk, Bison, deer, and even a moose were in Grand Teton. Not so much in Yellowstone... still lots of snow everywhere. We hiked all over Norris Geyser Basin and there was no snow in most of the geyser basin. But as we headed towards Canyon.... the snow got deeper. The roads are plowed dry, so no problem driving.
Many campgrounds were closed due to the amount of snow remaining on the ground. Lots of side roads and one way roads are closed due to snow. No one was swimming in the Firehole River--- which was the only one way road I saw open today.
$4 per gallon for gasoline in West Yellowstone. Jackson was cheaper... only $3.80.
I'm so tired right now... think I will watch the big race tomorrow.

I spent Monday at Arlington, first at the Tomb of the Unknown as President Bush laid a wreath, then I went to visit some tombstones...a few of family and a few of friends.
I cried a while, then I drove back to Cincinnati.
"Thanks you" just doesn't seem to say enough for my fallen family, friends and comrades who gave their lives to preserve what we all hold dear. As always, Arlinton humbled me.

It's a touching story of the day. Even if us Canadians have our own Memorial Day on november 11th, every fallen soldier, no matter what nation, is a inspiration for every one of us because they fought for the freedom. My thoughts is with everyone who lost a valuable soldier for a greater good.
I wanted to visit Arlington one day to pay a respect to the fallen ones.

I agree whole heartedly, EVERY brave soldier, whether man, woman or which democratic country they come from, deserves our respect for furthering and securing the forces of freedom.
To any critics out there: How many 18 year olds or 19 year olds of either sex have a philosophical mind set at that age? I know myself and many others have unfortunately participated in a war that, with present "hindsight", was a total misrepresentation, all thanks to our politicians for lyin' to us and playin' on our non philosophical mind sets :rolleyes
I was lucky enough to visit Arlington once many years ago. While I did not get to witness a wreath ceremony, it was still an amazing sight and something you will never forget.
