What's everyone's plans for Memorial Day?

I'm planning (barring some inevitable thing sidetracking me :D) is to take the 2 e2160's out of my nekkid boxen, use the bsel mod to up the fsb to 1066 on each of them, then insert them into the 2 dell doxen I have. Then, take the E6400's out and pt them in the nekkid boards (and overclock the piss out of them). I'm estimating a good 1000-1500ppd increase in my numbers if I do that.

I'm also going to tune up my hooptie 1998 Civic CX hatchback (125,000 miles) :D

Uummmm......drink a lot of beer and eat tamales?

Yeah, that's pretty much it.....

Well, that and I'm planning on wiping the two boxen I'm donating to the Community Boxen Program, pulling the HD's and setting up the diskless client on them and then running them for a few days to make sure they're stable.... should be fun:)

Hope you all have a great weekend, and let's not forget what this holiday is all about... think about it, and don't forget those that have fought and died for our freedom.....

Fold On!!!!

I've got TWO(2) family reunions! OMG i'll be so bored if it rains, which it's supposed to. So my main rig will be sitting at home folding, undisturbed :)

Whatever you do I hope it is a safe extended weekend for all!

Sleep + Indiana Jones on Saturday + some video games + yard work Sunday / Monday

I plan to start up by 2 clients on the lappy, switch them back to Shambler. Switch my P4 to Shambler, and potentially start my Celly 2.8 again.

Other than that; May go to San Antonio, may bust out a midnight raid in WOW :(
And most likely drink some decent beer and wait in anticipation for my Swans M10's!

SO EXCITED! Should be here by Wed hopefully.

Headed to Yellowstone National Park!

I love Yellowstone! My first visit this year.

I live close so I can come and go pretty easily. Just a day trip for me and the kids.

Have fun!

Be safe!

Fold on!

Wifes family will be staying with us.

It will be good to see them, but I'm also going to get free labor out of them. They offered to help with the yard - plant flowers/new tree, and painting :D

I love my inlaws

The folding boxen will not be harmed during this prosses.

Three words for the weekend:

Stanley Cup Finals.

That is all.

Same old, same old. Kayak some, dig in the garden and
go down to the harbor and watch the Swiftsure regatta.
Victoria is a nice place when it warms up! :)

Of yes, and fold!

Going to grill with some friends/family. Enjoy some time away from work. Have a couple beers.

Hey Pocatello - Ever do any hiking in Yellowstone? I have been wanting to do some day trips this summer. If you have any advice for good day hikes in Yellowstone, I'd be open to suggestions.

Fold [H]ard!

Lucky bastard.. I was there 3 years ago for a week. Too bad it takes me 23 hours to drive there. Any good ideas for hikes would be awesome. Planning on going back sometime in the next few years.

Go Red Wings!!!

One thing I *won't* be doing is distracting my HD3750 from folding--I picked up the Orange Box last weekend and I've spent WAY too much time on it since then. (BTW, I finished Portal on Wednesday night, and in HL2 I just got to Nova Prospect. Haven't dared touch TF2 yet) My wife's desk needs shelves, the yard needs mowing, the beds need weeding, the cars need cleaning, the new attic ladder needs painting...

Owning a home is awesome!

Wow, you are very behind in HL2... This mean you didn't even touch EP1 and EP2 as well  At least, in Nova Prospekt (that's the right spelling), you are just 1/4 way from the end.

well that's a US holiday so i'll be working that day :(

Tell your boss that it's your constitutional right to celebrate this wonderful US holiday. If he doesn't give in then just start claiming sexual harrassment :D

I hate the Red Wings, but I hate Hossa more and I cant stand Crosby and Orpik (Canes fan) so I will root for your team.

(actually, it should probably be Noviy Prospekt, since they're going for more-or-less transliteration from cyrillic) Yup, I'm behind--purely because a) I'm a cheapskate, so I waited until the price was right, and b) I haven't had a capable rig until a few months ago.

Really? I'm 3/4 of the way through? Cool. I'm definitely taking things in chronological order, here--I like the idea of the continuing storyline, and I haven't spoiled the story for myself (like I unfortunately did for Portal).

I knew there was some reason I didn't like you...

Hey, I said I'd root for the Wings.

:p

You have to cut me some slack here. The Wings kicked the Canes' asses in the 2002 Finals, including the Game 4 shutout loss I attended.

You did right with Portal. There is no real correlation till the end of EP2 where there is hints of Aperture Science (I won't say more to avoid spoiling you :p). Doing that will let you appreciate some stuble details more as you will notice them.

Myself, I did HL:Source (the first) just recently after doing HL2 and the episodes to understand the background story prior to HL2 and it's ok. I wished I should have played them in chronological order...

Heh, I have the original Half Life on CD somewhere. It came with my old Radeon 8500 and while I've installed the game a few times over the years, I've never actually played it.

I'm sorta doing the in chronological order thing myself. I'm going through HL2 (hell, barely started it) before I touch Episode 1 or 2 or any of the other games.

Sadly enough, I have Orange Box, C&C3 and World In Conflict sitting around and I've barely started them. Even worse is that I've had them for months now and I haven't even had the excuse that I didn't have a system which would play them. My "old" system was an overclocked E6400 with 2 gig of RAM and a 7600GT. It was more than powerful enough to play the games and I actually upgraded to the system in my sig before buying the games. I really need to get rid of this damn depression so I actually feel like doing something again.

Good recipe to cure depression = do some alien blasting :D

wow, i didn't know about that, guess i'm gonna have to play EP2 again !

In the greater schemes of things, if you are careful to details, you will notice that Black Mesa and Aperture Science are competing against each other for the discoveries. You will even see some slideshows about AS getting a lot of money instead of Black Mesa for some research if you peek at a conference room thru a window.

I can even venture as far as to say that EP3 will be on Aperture Science playgrounds (Borealis).

Heh - lots of never ending fun for sure. Today is my birthday so I'll probably be getting pretty hammered at some point this weekend. Aside from that - work around the house. Building a new pump house for the new pool pump (last one crapped out a week or so ago) since the old pump house was falling apart. New framing is all done, filter media changed, new pump installed and running. Also adding a new electrical panel in the pump house and adding a salt chlorine generator which should be fun.

Happy Birthday!!!

You should use the pool to watercool all your boxen :D

Heh - I have seen where someone did actually do it. Would not be to hard to tap into a return line from the pool and run a loop of pipe into the house. I'd have to do some research for sure as I'm not sure most computer watercooling stuff is ready for 20psi of water pressure. Should not be tough to add a regulator though. Damn sure would not need any radiators. Only catch for me - would not be practical in the summer here. The pool water easily gets over 80F and I'm not sure warm water would cool effectively. In the winter it would downright kick some ass though.

Its alright, all I really can't stand is Avs fans who think its still 1997 and that we still give a damn about them. :D

Erm.....yanno....that little comment I made the other day was a joke....

Just sayin:)

All in good fun, so here's a beer for the Wings!
