Ah yes... Goliath. I been eyeballing that mod. Instead of 120mm fans all around you guys stuck in 140mm didnt you? For my Conroe build I was considering the CM-830 mod you guys got but the Goliath might be better with that 250mm fan. Cheaper than the CM-830 too. You guys gonna have a window version of that Goliath? That would look kinda sweet I think. :D

The problem with doing a window mod for this case, is that the ideal window we would want to use would be the PC-75 Plus panel. Which any of you that have recently gotten a phone call from me would know, that Lian Li is trying to stop producing. So the window idea is kinda up in the air.

Ok, I got tired of reading after page 6 to see if my question has been asked yet. Please forgive me if it has. :)

I'm getting an Antec Solo and was looking to maybe put a window in it. I saw you put a window into the p180, and I think they have the same side panels. The side panels are pretty heavy and I was wondering if there was any layering on the inside panel and can you see the thickness or layers through the window? Can you dremel this, or is a jigsaw necissary? What type of threads/fasteners did you use to hold it up? I did a window kit on my first no name case a while back and didn't really like the fat molding so I'm going to try and opt for the clean bolt on look, so any tips from having done the p180 are welcome.

I've looked at your idea. Yeah, the Cooler Master window we use will probably be the best fit without having to do a custom window. Small molding with bolts, I would suggest threading the holes too. Makes it look totally professional.

Where is the coolermaster window you speak of. I only see this.

For molding I see
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=132&products_id=3801
and
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=132&products_id=1877
which would you recommend?

For threading the holes, do you just mean piloting before I drill? Do you sell the screws?

On all three counts, that's not what I was talking about. Look at the modified Coolermaster cases. We don't sell those windows on the website. You can contact us about a particular model and we can do that, but not openly. It has the molding that is supposed to come with them too. Just look at the Waver Master at the beginning of this thread. The yellow one. I used a bolt-on window on that. And yes, you can get a set of screws. Threading is related to "tapping" the holes. That way you don't need a nut and washer. You simply screw the bolt into the panel itself. Really makes it look good! :D

A few more pictures...

The cathode pick is the old Sunbeam UV 12" against the new AC Ryan Overboost UV 12". The AC Ryan don't seem as physically bright but do seem to give off a better UV effect. The case stuffed full of stuff is a water-cooled G70 going to Thailand. And the other G70 is using the Alphacool Nexxos 3 radiator. I am very curious why more people aren't using it. Splits the intake into three lines, each line gets three passes up and down the radiator, then all three go back into one line. Thermochill, 2 pass... Nexxos, 9 pass. Enough blabber, here are the pics...

These people are so hard on their chairs.... I've had the same one since I started. These people are animals when they sit down!!!

Hey Level, good to see ya on this site (can't believe I just now came across this thread). I believe we've met before. I live 1 mile away from you guys. I just ordered the AC-Ryan UV CCLs from you all to replace my crappy blue ones. Here's pics of my Micro-Fly: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1087192

Chick at work loved it so much, I'm building her one (just ordered it last night) but no water cooling on hers.

I have a question, the Thermochill PE120 is 128mm? I know the HE120 is 124mm and it barely fit, but I just wanted to make sure the advertised dimension of the PE were accurate, because if it's the same dimensions as the HE, I'm going to start kicking myself.

Not sure off the top of my head, and I'm not at work to check it out. Just check our site against Thermochill's site and see what happens. Send an email to "Sales" and we can measure next week.

Hello level..Nice to see some of your other work.. :D
Hey if anyone might know this you should I hope..the SilverStone TJ09..any word on when we can get our paws on one..check it out and let us know..I know you can do some sick work on it..i want a BLACK one for sure
thanks..And have you see one yet..Check Some Pictures here.

I tell you what, thanks for asking! I'll send a message to our SilverstoneTek rep and see what we're looking at! I'll get back with you as soon as I find out!

levellord, i'm hoping to find the time to install a couple of handles on my v1200b today. since i've never done this particular task before and you've done it at least twice (i'm talking mounting handles here ;) ), i thought i'd ask for some input from you. what distance from the front and back of the case do you usually mount the handles? do you even have a rule of thumb, per se? i want this to look like it was done by somebody who know what he was doing and not some hack. any input by you will be greatly appreciated. :D

This is totally an inside joke, but..... "You have to take into consideration the center of gravity of the case..." Thank you very much for the word of advice Dave....

i mounted them at 3 inches from the front and back sides of the case. i'm happy with it. the only thing that bothered me was the damned bat that got in the house. i HATE bats!  it is not fun seeing this shadow of a bat flying above your head. it's gone now but i know i won't sleep well tonight.

Does performance-pcs do side jobs, like do side panel windows and cuts?

I dont think there is any mod Per-PC cant do..

Level thanks for the reply..waiting on your reply on that Silverstone :D

I checked with them today. They said near the end of September. I am going to try and talk Hank into allowing pre-orders for all you eager people out there! When the time gets closer, I'll be sure to keep you all informed as to the exact date.

Hey Rob, this is your PC7 Silent Warrior.

Actually, after seeing the pictures, I'm going to change your filterright to UV Blue as well. I think that will look better than a black one on a Blue fan.

Hey, Levell0rd, I got one of those Enermax Chakra cases. In your opinion is there a way to somehow put a filter on the inside of that 250mm fan on the side? Using the stock setup that is? Thinking some kind of dust filter on it would be good if I can figure out a way to do it and still maintain the good look of the stock case. Any ideas?

Wow thank you James! It looks great, your right about the filter. I really appreciate your extra effort calling me up and letting me know about the new LED color. Which turned out for the better with the UV frames idea. I almost thought about getting back to you and having ya install the cathodes, but I've spent enough money and it will give me time to reflect on some more ideas. I will visit back and hope to post up some finished pics. But it might be a few weeks as I've got a lot going on at the moment. Thanks bro you did good, talk to ya later.

Dryer sheets normally work well, it's true. But you would have to find one large enough for that fan. They are very breathable but a tight fabric mesh to catch particles. It will also leave your computer smelling Spring Time Fresh.

What size fan is that mounted on the window??? It looks enormous.....You're right, James. A different Filter Right frame would look much better than the black...Speaking of Filter Right, when you first told me to go with that rather than a grill on my side intake I was skeptical, but seeing how well those work-you were right on the money! Nice job, J.

That sir would be an Aerocool Streamliner 140mm fan.

pssst..... something is coming.............

Tweet Tweet. :D The bird has landed. Dude that was fast! Clear across the country in a day and I already took some shots. Gonna load some better pics for youz guyz to show this gem. Really nice case James and the blue is beautiful (can I say that word in here? lol). Man I am so excited about this build and I do have time to start on it today. I will however be 1 less ATI video card for now. I was going to go crossfire but I have reached my budget this month plus I have some personal things going on that have to take priority before I can get back to the computer build. A big thanks goes out to Performance-PC's, James, [H]ardForum&members, all the Mfg. and Vendors for the parts and help. So without further delay here is my first custom case. Whooo!
