So I've got a friend building a system. I've looked it over a bit and made suggestions, but I'd like a peer review as well.

Old System:
Intel Q6700
MSI P6N Platinum Motherboard
4GB of RAM
Radeon 5770
Cooler Master 1000W PSU
other stuff

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming (Including Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, World of Tanks), Web Browsing
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

3) Where do you live?
Omaha, NE -- No good brick and mortar places within 100 miles. I have Amazon Prime.
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

$325 - Intel Core i5-2500K and MSI P67A-G43 (This combo ends up being only $5 more than the non-K and gives him the option of overclocking in the future.)
$76 - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (He liked this more than the $3 cheaper set because it had better reviews.)
$50 - Samsung F3 1 TB
$20 - Asus DVD Burner
$90 - LIAN LI PC-7B plus II
Subtotal: $560.94
Shipping: $17.62
Total: $578.64

He's planning on replacing the 5770 in the next year or whenever it becomes a significant bottleneck.

Anyways, let me know if you see any issues with this or have suggestions. He'd love for it to be under budget, but can go up to $700 if need be.
 
Looks good to me.

The only concern I could think of is whether or not the PC-7B's two 120mm fans will be enough for the hot Arizona summers. (Though cheaper cases exist, I figured that your friend -- or you -- preferred the "cleaner" look of the Lian Li. As a former owner, I did.)
 
Yeah he currently has a Thermaltake Xaser II 6000 from forever ago. I think at one point he said he was embarrassed by it since it's in his living room, and he wants something a little sleeker. Also, he lives in Nebraska, which gets hot, but not Arizona hot. It'll be in an air conditioned room anyways, so ambient temp shouldn't be a major issue.
