I'm not sure what position that Windows guy was put in but the sys admin roll has changed in the last few years with companies and people expecting to much out of that one position.I know plenty of businesses that run Linux servers with Mac frontends. The biggest issue is that sysadmin's aren't really sysadmin's anymore and can't handle anything but Windows frontends.
Every iPad owner I know, the thing was a gimmick that got used for like a week, and then was tossed into some dusty corner because it couldn't replace their laptop or desktop, and wasn't really portable like a smartphone. I don't even really see anyone using tablets in public any longer. Everyone is either on a smartphone, or if they have serious work to get done, a laptop.

Why does Wall Street want this? Looks at the PDF summary from their last quarter. Agreed Mac is in third place for revenue, but that is still a good amount of revenue. https://www.apple.com/newsroom/pdfs/fy17-q4/Q4FY17DataSummary.pdf
It also grew from the previous year at a nice clip. This is stuff Wall Street likes to see.
like what functionality? Legit curious.Ok well I'll break that narrative for you. I resisted the iPad for a very long time. I'm pretty much die hard android and PC. However my last job required and provided iPads for work. I own 4 Android tablets, Phones and about 8 PC's and laptops. I grudgingly took the iPad because I had no other choice. In the 3 years I've used it, the experience has been absolutely positive the entire time. There are quite a few things it just flat out does better than any of my android tablets. Now don't get me wrong, I'm still never buying an iPhone and it certainly isn't replacing my laptops ever..but frankly right now the next tablet purchase for me is going to be an iPad unless something changes. I've used every tablet on the market and the iPad is right now the best overall one. At the end of the day brand is less important than functionality to me. I've stuck exclusively to android because up until the Ipad 3 I felt android was superior. That is no longer the case.

I rest my case. But that doesn't prevent Apple from shooting themselves in the foot as usual.
Not exactly sure what your case is supposed to be but hopefully you realize that the iPad chart is measured in millions and the mac chart in thousands....
This.. and then some. Not to mention the yearly fee.Except for the fact that you cannot write Apps for iOS without a Mac somewhere in your development workflow.
I am not a Mac user, but every time I see some story about the Mac being killed off I wonder how they manage to skip that minor detail.

This is Apple, they don't care about what is best for the consumer, they care about what the consumer will buy and put up with.

TIL Apple is a publicly traded company. Edit : /s

Everyone expects a Jack of all trades and a master of everything. They no longer want a specialist on specific subject with a little of cross training in-between. So that Cisco , Linux , Unix or windows admin has been pretty much pigeon holed into being an all in one admin.
You're better off having a group of specialist with some cross training than an all in one person mentally and physically stretched out all over the place.
BTW I see no problem with just MAC and Linux or a single OS but exceed 150 or 200 head count and at some point you have to bring in windows... I could be wrong
First: Dvorak is still alive?
