Hi all, I'm currently running my system overclocked but was hoping to get more help & advice from all the experts here so I can oc it higher. And also clear up some issues I'm having. I'm gonna post a crap load of info, so here goes. First of all, system specs:

Intel Q6600 Stepping B Revision G0 - 9x333, vcore @1.28125
Tuniq Tower 120
ASUS Striker Extreme Rev A2 (BIOS 1303)
4GB(4x1) OCZ DDR2 1066@667MHz (1:1)
EVGA GeForce 8800GTX 768MB @576MHz
Western Digital Caviar 500GB WD5000AAKS
Antec 900 Case
Antec True Power Trio 650W PSU

It's running pretty stable right now with the below BIOS settings. I ran prime95 for about 12.5 hours with no errors. During that 12 hour session, the maximum temperatures I saw in Core Temp were:
core 0: 56 core 1: 54 core 2: 54 core 3: 51
IDLE temps are:
core 0: 39 core 1: 35 core 2: 37 core 3: 34

Anyway, now for the BIOS settings in the Extreme Tweaker menu:
SYSTEM CLOCKS:
PCIEX16_[123]: 100MHz
SPP<->MCP Ref Clock: AUTO

FSB AND MEMORY CONFIG:
Memory Clock Mode: UNLINKED
FSB (QDR): 1333
MEM (DDR): 667

OVERCLOCKING:
Multi: 9
Memory Timings: 5-5-5-15
CMD: AUTO
Advanced Memory Settings: ALL AUTO

Spread Spectrum Control: ALL DISABLED
CPU Interal Thermal Control: AUTO
Limit Cpuid Maxval: DISABLED
Enhanced C1 (C1E): DISABLED
Execute Disable Bit: ENABLED
Virtualization Technology: DISABLED
Enhanced Intel Speedstep: DISABLED
LDT Frequency: 5x

OVER VOLTAGE:
Vcore: 1.28125
Mem: 2.1
1.2v ht: 1.2
NB core: AUTO
SB core: AUTO
CPU vtt: AUTO
ddr2 controller ref: AUTO
ddr2 channel a ref: AUTO
ddr2 channel b ref: AUTO

SLI Broadcast Aperture: DISABLED
Nvidia GPU Ex: AUTO

Ok, now for some temp and voltage readings:
BIOS VOLTAGE READINGS:
Vcore: 1.24
Memory: 2.16
1.2V HT: 1.24
NB: 1.34
SB: 1.52
CPU VTT: 1.36
DDR Termination: 1.07
3.3V: 3.16
5V: 4.83
12V: 11.58

BIOS TEMP READINGS:
CPU: 30
M/B: 37
OPT1 (NB): 47
OPT2: (SB): 52

OPT1,2 are sensors that came with the motherboard that I put on the north and south bridges myself, so their accuracy is probably not very high.

That's all the info I have, I'm gonna post some questions I have in a reply.

1. The readings I get in pc probe 2 are all pretty much the same as the BIOS readings I posted before (except for CPU temp which I use Core Temp for anyway). It gives me a warning about the MB temp (37) and it shows up as red, is that really too hot? Im not sure how to decrease that.

2. Im a little worried about the +3.3V, +5.0, +12.0 voltages which the bios reports as 3.16, 4.83, 11.58. Aren't those way too low?

3. What is nvidia gpu ex?

Other than that, does everything look normal (voltages, temps, etc), or is something running too hot/high voltage?

I've tried overclocking further but with not much luck. Also I can't seem to run my ram at 1066, which it's rated for. Any tips?

i have a similar system on an asus blitz edition board running FSB @ 336
and memory @ 1008 5-5-5-15 2:3 ratio
if you are running your memory with a 1:1 ratio you ought to be able to run at 4-4-4-12 timings. I'm no expert this system i built a few weeks ago is my first real exsperience with overclocking but i did push my Q660 GO stepping to 3.6 but i leave it @ 3.0 for 24/7 use

Thanks guys, will try out your suggestions.

Also, should I be worried about the low voltages on the 3.3, 5, and 12V rails?

3.3V: 3.16
5V: 4.83
12V: 11.58

They meet specs (within/better than +/- 10%)

That said, only the 12V would concern me as that is what the quad and the video card is hitting hard, I would post over in the power supply section and filter out all the "dude, you need a 1KW supply !" responses and see if someone knows that Antec model and its capabilities. I would also see if Speedfan works/reads the voltages correctly on your motherboard and if so, turn on the logging so it will keep a record of the voltages as you fire up your favorite game and play for an hour. Its not so much the actual values, because unless you measure it with a meter, its just some software's best guess with math errors/rounding thrown in. What you want to look for is a large drop in voltage (you can expect a little) under heavy load which indicates the supply is having trouble putting out enough juice and if you get more then 10% away from 12V I would start looking for a supply with more wattage available on the 12V rails.
