Hmm, good question. I just think of the old-timers as people who had obviously been around for awhile before I was. I think it's about 3 years for me but I was a lurker for awhile before hand. I guess the people who were around when the team got started automatically qualify which leaves me out.

 
i know I am new.. but after being around you guys i sure feel old and tired of listenin to ya... :p kiddin

I think I remember someone re-posting your first post Moose, something along the lines of "Hey what is this folding stuff?". :D We need a [H]orde archive where we can go and look this stuff up.

pageian if you had forgotten (in old age ;) ) i had mentioned that before about getting a historian to gather the good stuff and have it saved in a couple places in fear of future crashes etc

Speaking of old threads, who here remembers my old "Is God Evil" thread from the SoapBox forum????
 
i don't remember it, care to give a synopsis?

i came here before the soapbox and all were closed, but i lurked during the months when the events causing them to be closed were transpiring. that, or i just didn't come here. i registered, got 15 posts, and left for six months or something. i don't think i posted anything in the soapbox/web linkage worth clicking (besides one post that could have gotten me b7d... be a different world for me if that'd happened:eek: but that's besides the point...)

then when i came back, they were basically closed. they opened again for a short while, then vanished. then a while later (year or so) the forum went down. i was so bored until it came back up... i had nothing to do.

i joined a few other forums during that time, but i don't frequent them anymore...

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ...

That kind of thread wouldn't be tolerated here anymore. trust me. It was a fireball of emotions, doctrine and most of the time just relic and I going toe to toe. Man, those were the good days!

relic and I (and most others on this board) have very different beliefs. But we never got mad at each other. Just ideas (with some passion) flying to and fro, and in the end, we could still be friends.

In fact, I had more respect for relic after that thread. He is a man of conviction and he lives true to his word. Not many can have that said of them. Not many at all...

I remember that thread. I made a few posts in it here and there myself. I still can't believe it went on as long as it did considering the way things were flying around in the thread. It should have been locked after the first couple of pages I'm sure.

I actually referenced that thread a while back. I'm sure it was the longest thread in the forum. I know it was the longest thread I had ever seen in this forum. That is until the Word Association Game thread came along. That was where I had referenced the "Is God Evil" thread. Once we got to around page 150 or 200 (30 posts per page) I think I mentioned something about the "Is God Evil" thread is no longer the longest thread here.
