Yes this site is legit because I've ordered Call of Duty 2 from them before as well as Quake 4. I have had zero issues with them. Hopefully this isn't a repost. Btw with this site you can opt for the game with the CD's/DVD's or you can get only the cd-key and activate it yourself. With a cdkey only order the cdkey is emailed to you within a day or so. And yes I've used this option before and have gotten a completely legit cd-key that was never in use when I went to play online. This is an actual retail store in Thailand so hopefully that will ease your nerves.

after reading through 7 pages of that thread, people were reporting that they recieved their cd keys promptly in an email so it looks pretty legit. Read that thread for more info, but this seems like a real good deal if you're real pinchy to get the fry's deal

That site is online so maybe they do things different, but here in California whenever I use my credit card to purchase something in a store there is a high probability they will ask to see ID. They never did this in New Jersey so it was a bit confusing the first few times.

Still, sending a photo of my license to Thailand isn't really my thing.

That is not what the poster said, he said E-TAILERS, not your local retailer B&M store. He is saying someone like NewEgg would ask for a photo copy of your drivers license when ordering online.
 
I've ordered from Zest before. It was completely uneventful last time and I got my order in about 24 hours. I ordered the Orange Box from them Sunday night and it showed up in my email early this morning. No problems, no hassle, and I can't argue with the price: $17.
 
name one store, B&M or online that will ask for a COPY of your drivers license? Nobody should be making a photo copy unless its for a loan or insurance purposes or something...

edit-I cant hit that site from work, do they even accept paypal?

The person you quoted was responding to someone specifically talking about US based e-tailers. In English, what is being discussed carries over, it does not change.
 
I had to send Mwave a photocopy of my drivers license when purchasing a laptop there last year.
 
Ever think that because of their location THEY get scammed a lot?

Perhaps if you have the photo ID that corresponds to a credit card it is more likely to be a legit sale than someone just entering in the correct numbers?

Maybe I should be clear. I am not a US citizen. So, just as how US base stores request this information, other no-US store have as much of a right to do it. For that matter, PC Power and Cooling made me take 2 pictures. The front and back of both my DP and CC at the same time. Mind you they let me white out most of the CC number.

You also need to have a "Secure" Visa or Mastercard to make a purchase. Not all credit cards will work (mine didn't).
 
This is a legit deal. Zest = our Gamestop here. I purchased 2x Orange Boxes and both keys worked fine. I bet these are the Asian releases of Orange Box thus the price however it works perfectly fine with a US steam account. I had to send in a copy of my CC and Driver License. Be smart about it and blot out all but your name and it will be fine.

OT: I used to work tech support, I was reading a customer a password. I said, "Capital-A, B, Capital-D, One, Five, Capital-R, pound sign" He says, "Uh.. are those supposed to be capital numbers?"

I bought quake 4 from them a little while back and everything worked fine... Zest has like all EA exclusive games before they show up in the US btw, legit too... the only catch being that sometimes you get the international version, which really doesn't matter... but it might for an MMO.

Car dealer is acceptable for obvious reasons. (car theft, skipped payment etc)

And you don't buy anything when you get a job, and out of all the places Ive worked at none of them have asked for a copy of my license or credit card.
 
For those of you worried about sending a copy of your ID, you do realize you can blank out everything but your name, right? Copy of the CC is similar, you can blank out the first 12 digits. I just sent mine in like that, and they had no problems with it.
 
hahah @ assume your identity.. ive bought from there and its good price/ safe etc.. if you are buying multiple copys of the game i can see this being good but if your just buying one copy go buy the game in the store! .. i buy copies for me and all my friends so i usually go this route..
 
Thing about EA games is they don't let you buy em now. I tried to Preorder Crysis and it said I couldn't because I am in the U.S. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I dont think so. I have ordered thousands of dollars in camera gear from them in the last 3 years. Never asked for a DL. My first order with them was just over $1000 and they did call me about 5 minutes after I placed the order just to verify I actually ordered the items.
 
I've bought from zest.co.th about 3 times, and it's been fine every time.

Good prices, but you have to wait about 10 days for the cheap shipping.

I never sent a driver's license picture, either.

Read the error page that pops up, there is a link to continue through. For some reason Microsoft set IE to act like all self-cert sites want to eat your soul.
