I just want to connect the pc to the tv and watch movies that way. Not sure in the adata ram and msi mobo
Using our metrics/rubric/standards or your flawed metrics/rubric/standards?Just want the best for the money spent that's all.
As long as the PSU is good, it won't affect your overclock at all. Unless those reviews were proper reviews, ignore them. Unless there was a 50+ Newegg reviews out of 75 showing that PSU has a QC defect, ignore them.Is there a better psu for OCing to buy at the same price or even little more than the sea sonic posted? Haven't read much good reviews on it?
Thank you for proving my point.....Why was the corsair a bad buy eventho it was recommended here? I already said I never used liquid cooling which is why I came here for help...I honeslty thought Cooler Master Seidon 120V or CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 were enough but I know nothing about any of them. I figured there was quality issues or something more which is why the 100i was recommended...
Of course real world..However, now you have me thinking I got the wrong cooler& for whatever your reasoning is about it being a bad choice? My standard for cooling was something as quiet as my current setup which is actually an air cooled OCed setup.running [email protected]. All Im expecting is a minimum 1ghz OC..if the CPU recmmended here is considered such a great overclocker that should be easy. Im not sure how any of this qualifies as impossible standards
Again, you're not getting my point. Let me try again: No matter what solution you go, there's always something or somethings that's wrong with it. Therefore, there is no such thing as a perfect solution. I'm 100% sure that you thought that particular liquid was the perfect solution when it isn't. But the thing is though: It doesn't have to be. It just has to be good enough for the money you're paying. The cooler you bought is good enough. Do you understand now? However, now you have me thinking I got the wrong cooler& for whatever your reasoning is about it being a bad choice? Your goal is realistic. Your methods to achieve said goals involves adhering to impossible standards/metrics. For example: My goal is to lose weight. But my methods to do so involves me researching every single aspect of my food from who raises it and what it eats all the way to the background of the waiter or grocer who's giving me my food. All Im expecting is a minimum 1ghz OC..if the CPU recommended here is considered such a great overclocker that should be easy. I really like the Asus MB but is this the best version & how does it compare to Gigabyte sniper series?
The only difference between my current build & this is extra RAM...I have a pretty fast CPU, with a DX11 card, SSD thats fast enough for me so Im not sure how this will be an upgrade?
BTW is it possible to find one that offers Alien Isolation & Star Citizen deal? [/B]?
How many dba is the liquid cooler he mentioned and once again will the liquid cooler use allot more energy vs air?
CPU: is it possible to order from a website that guarantees certain stepping codes that are known to overclock up to 4.5ghz and higher 5ghz? Will it matter if I buy from newegg or amazon?
PSU: is this a reliable psu seems to have gotten bad reviews on newegg too along with the 2TB hdd.
Ive never used onboard sound how does it compare to a dedicated sound card? Ive always used a audigy 2.
When I said better looking I meant how the colors, ect looked not the actual monitor bezel. I feel going larger than 1920x1080 will mean Im going to have to upgrade parts more often to be able to run native res of the monitor so its prob best to stick to that resolution. I do not want a TN panel but something with a bit better color quality , faster response time, and higher refresh rate than my current Dell.
I am a prime member at amazon however this corsair http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J8E9334/?tag=hardfocom-20 is priced only a few dollars higher than Tirades previous post of going with the kingston ram http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D6E5KMA/?tag=hardfocom-20 If the corsair linked above is the correct ram that you and tirade mentioned would it be much better for overclocking than the slower kingston? I also came across this corsair which is rated 2400mhz for only 8 bux more http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Venge...M2A2400C11R/dp/B00EUPV2RQ/ref=zg_bs_172500_19
HDD&PSU: so which hdd & psu should I go with that will be 100% reliable?
MoBO: I noticed the asus linked earlier has gone up in price to 144. I was looking into the different features of each motherboard and really like this ASUS Wi-Fi GO! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132117 It links your PC, android, TV all together which is something I really wanted to do. But which asus mobo or any mobo can do this while also being a great overclocker?
Mobo: Is that asus better than this MSI:http://www.amazon.com/MSI-DDR3-Moth...HDMI+SATA+6Gb/s+USB+3.0+ATX+Intel+Motherboard
PSU: are there any psus that come out the box with good sleeving?
Mobo: How does the Z97 Gaming 5 compare to the Asus in reliability & OCing since they are so close in price?
Monitor: Based on the specs which would be best that is IPS and faster response than what I have?
PSU: Came across these two not sure if they are better or not over seasonic? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182264
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139055
Narrowed down the case to these two : what do you guys think would be best? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352034
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139042 There are issues with both but the fractal seems to have issues with the dust filters with no replacement I want a fully diary proof as possible case...I plan to keep this case for many years but seems the corsair has quality issues while fractal seems very well built. Wish I could see both in person to get a better idea..
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438017 This one is very highly rated w/10 yr warranty and same price as seasonic.
Ive read the CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i is not as reliable as the CORSAIR Hydro Series H110 is this true & which is louder?
Out of the two motherboards which one offers better software support for OC?
Well its mainly the clean brushed aluminum look of the 450D (hate plastic on PC) & I really like all the dust proof making it easy to clean.
BTW how future proof is this motherboard in terms of simply putting a 6 core or higher later on down the road ?
Not sure if you guys noticed this but: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit OEM DVD posted earlier says: Additionally, this single license will not allow for a change to a different model motherboard once installed...so if I upgrade mobo I cant use this same windows...

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mainstream-gaming-z97-motherboard,3824-20.html This benchmarks shows the asus is a bit slower vs the other boards. Asrock rated higher and MSI a bit more than both in games
Picky by definition means adhering to impossible standards and aiming towards unrealistic goals and/or having unrealistic fears/tastes.Sorry for all the questions but Im very picky when it comes to PC builds because I do not upgrade often as its been nearly 5 yrs since my last build.
.....Seriously? What part of the following do you not understand?:I just asked dangman why the cooler was not good pick. If a 100 dollar cooler can get me 100 mhz more htan a 50 I honestly should I went with the 50$ one...But I know nothing about each water cooling unit to kno which is best to pick.

Tiraides are you still standing by the build above as best bang still or are you having 2nd thoughts now?
The main ones. Kingston ram, Asus board, sea sonic psu,corsair100i cooler, corsair 450d,evo 250ssd
At the top since that allows you to use the HDD bays. What is the best way/place to mount and setup the cooler? Everything is ordered should be in by Friday
Exhausthow should the fans be setup on the cooler for optimal cooling?
GTX 970Also I just noticed nvidia launched their new cards. Which one is the go to one right now with the best performance?
That's what I meant.push/pull is not the best?
No, it's a shitty video card hence why I recommended it to you. :Is the 970 really worth it over current cards?
eVGA, Asus, MSI, or Gigabyte.Which company?
