Nada. Target is still "preparing to ship" after giving me that message for a full week. I have 2 friends with theirs listed as out for delivery. Am starting to get a little paranoid.
 
I need you all to send positive thoughts (or prayers, you decide) my way so I have a chance at getting one from Walmart. And if you're also trying to get one from Walmart... get wrecked :p
 
Keep checking costco website. I was able to get a 2nd unit. This will go to a friend.
 
Wasn't able to pre order a while back but was able to place an order this morning for the Costco bundle. I think it's still up for those that are looking.

Welp, like every other console launch, I succumbed to the hype and placed an order for a PS5 Disc Edition through Best Buy. Waiting for a 'order was cancelled' e-mail, but so far so good.

-Oh, and as I'm typing this I'm getting weird error messages when I check my order status (was working fine a moment ago). Probably a cancellation incoming!

Yep my Amazon order is rolling! Target order is waiting to ship, that was a preorder the day of the keynote. Target sucks at this stuff. Oh well. Btw they went live earlier on Costco might still be available, Spiderman and extra controller. Site was slow as heck but I scooped one up.
 
I have another friend trying Costco and apparently the site keeps crashing with no way to input your full credit card.
Wal-Mart is about to go live in a few minutes. Good luck y'all!

Err, Walmart is restocking in 2.5 hours. I was able to grab the costco bundle. Kind of pricey but I can use all of those items, so not too bad.

Best Buy has swapped back from Sold Out to "Coming Soon." Mine even flashed up a new option for buying one open box, but then it went away when I clicked it. Something might be about to happen.
 
One reminder. Remember that with Walmart, just because it says sold out, doesn't mean it is sold out. With both the PS5 & XBSX, they claimed to have sold out seconds after they went online the day I got mine. I spent like half an hour of clicking the purchase button, being told that it was sold out, until it finally went through. When it is sold out, Walmart will remove it from your cart, rather than just tell you it's sold out. (And make sure to put in all your info ahead of time, so that it's not something you need to refill every time. Albeit it's probably too late right now to handle that part).
 
I pre-ordered mine from Target, but the delivery date isn't until next Wednesday...DOH!!!

I can never pass through the add to cart and please wait session in BB. By the time it lets me through, it flips to sold out. I guess that part of the system is a lottery against bots/time.

Yes, it turns into a lottery system 100%. It's not about how fast you are, it's will the site work at the moment you happen to click through the buying process.

Please fly out to Vegas and work the tables when possible. Buy some lottery tickets ASAP.

If you even attempted to visit the main page, they directed you to a queue page that refreshed itself. Mine went from "more than an hour" to "30 minutes" then back up to "more than an hour." About 2 hours later I finally got to the front of the queue and they let you into the store front. Luckily this coincided with a drop of stock availability and I lucked out.

Ok, so judging by the fact that there is no queue anymore, there is no more stock coming anytime soon..

I looked again this morning and it said "Check back 11/12" so I don't know if that means the queue is done for the large initial wave and now it's just first come/first serve...Watch Wario64's twitter feed, he was the best resource I found for confirming stock.
 
So, initial impressions:

This thing is huge. I thought the XBox Series X was big, but this is bigger. It is a huge console.

I liked the setup more than the XBSX, which required an Xbox app to get set up. This allowed set up without a phone.

The console is a bit louder than I was expecting. Whereas my PC and XBox are silent, you can definitely hear the fan with the PS5. Not overwhelmingly loud, but it just sounds like a computer, rather than previous generations where it was silent.

I don't like the interface. The PS4 interface was so much better. Hopefully I get use to it, but as of right now, that's just my opinion.

And I haven't found a way to quit out of a game. Press the PS button, and a menu bar on the bottom pops up, but the game is still running. I'm guessing this was to prevent rage quitters who would dashboard out on games they were about to lose.

Thanks Derangel. So yeah, you can close out the game. Hold down to get to a dashboard, then hit the start button on the top game icon, rather than the big game icon you're currently on. It's definitely not intuitive in my opinion. But I'll get use to it.

Hold the button down instead of just pressing it.

Yipes. I don't even like the PS4 interface compared to the PS3 and (especially) the Xbox 360. That's not good news.
 
A friend of mine got one from Sony's site. He's not 100% sure it worked, but he has an order # and confirmation.
