Does anyone else make one?
No one else legally can. EA has an exclusivity agreement with the NFL.
Exclusivity FTL.
After all, there is (was) endzone dancing in the NFL, and it could be quite lavish!a large, usually lavish, formal party featuring social dancing
It is a silly game anyway. I mean even the name is inaccurate. The "ball" is not ball shaped, and play has almost nothing to do with one's feet. Of course, the National Hand-Egg League would face an uphill battle to be taken seriously.
Not from the US I take it? The name really means nothing to football fans, and you cannot call the game silly. I don't want to start a flame war, but what you can football (soccer to us) is waaaay less entertaining than american football. At least US football is exciting to watch, unlike soccer which is mind-numbingly boring. Just a bunch of dudes kicking a ball around over and over.
But anyway my real intention of posting is to ask about EA exclusivity on NFL games. It was mentioned that they might be losing that deal soon? I would love to hear more about this. I really miss NFL games on the PC, I also miss NFL2K games. Hopefully the NFL doesn't renew this deal with EA, we really need variety in football games. When there is no competition, there is no innovation. Madden never seems to get better.
Electronic Arts reached a proposed settlement on a lawsuit that was originally filed in 2008 by consumers. The case claimed that EA violated antitrust and consumer protection laws by signing exclusive licensing agreements with the NFL, NCAA, and AFL and overcharged customers for the games.
The company will establish a $27 million fund to pay out to consumers that purchased Madden NFL, NCAA Football, or AFL games published by EA. Gamers who bought an EA football title from January 2005 to today are considered part of the class action lawsuit and are entitled to a portion of those funds.
As part of the settlement, EA will not be able to enter an exclusive rights deal with the AFL for five years and cannot renew its current agreement with the NCAA for at least five years. The agreement between EA and NCAA does not expire until 2014. The exclusive NFL license will remain unharmed.
I reaaaaaaalllllly hope they lose their exclusivity agreement

EA's exclusive with the NCAA is set to expire in 2014 and cannot be renewed for 5 years, their deal with the NFL is still on:]
There's always college football on PC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_College_Football:_BCFX:_The_Xperience

You have nothing but egg on your face responding so seriously when their entire post was a joke, lol.
I play madden 08 with the FF XIII mod at 2560x1600 and it looks 10 times better than the console versions...http://www.footballidiot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=14557
