It does look like I'm being held back by my Xeon. It may be time to build a second rig just for gaming.
One of those 7700K CPUs that is hitting 5GHz might be in order.

Ran all three of the 1080p settings, my native res in both DX and OGL, and then a 4k optimized settings. Here are my results. One thing I did notice. This does not report CPU speed accurately as I am overclocked to 4Ghz and it doesn't show that. Also, my GPU is +150 core and +300 mem.

Apparently this thing doesn't support crossfire. I got my second card back from a friend who borrowed it the last three weeks, and my Fury X (x2) score is only 100 pts higher than the last time I ran it on 4k.

system is not as reported RX 580 at 1425Mhz and ram at 2,000Mhz CPU at 4.4Ghz 4960K (yes, I have a 900Mhz overclock on the stock air cooler from Intel)

here are the results

The default Nvidia SLI profile (none I assume) for this benchmark had only one of my GTX680's being used:

I tried to force 3-GPU AFR1, and it resulted in all 3 GPUs being pegged at ~33% usage, with FPS lower than with a single GPU. I then tried to force 3-GPU AFR2, and it resulted in all 3 GPUs being pegged at ~70% usage, this time resulting in a significant FPS increase compared to a single card:

I was pleasantly surprised as I did not think any form of SLI would work at all. Would be interesting to see how it would score if the GPUs were actually at 100% usage. Maybe it will get a real SLI profile some day.

Just for anyone concerned about being bottlenecked on an OC'd Sandybridge. Don't be.

I'm in the mood for a slide show tonight, so I'll think I will try 1080p Extreme on my old Intel E8500 with 560ti.

It's a Gigabyte AORUS GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme. I had also benchmarked my GTX 980 SLI setup prior to the upgrade and since learned it was pointless as Superposition doesn't yet support multiple GPUs. :(

Tony.
