Just starting getting a new GPU2 WU 5003 today. Worth 479 points, woot woot!
I have been seeing a slight drop off in production about 4% compared to 5001 and
5002. The WU results are hefty, 7.8MB which is killing my upload speed. Might just
have to upgrade the DSL speed so I don't spend all my time uploading results.

Yeah i think i've burned through a couple today as well. I also saw a slight decrease in PPD but i'm glad to see some larger WU's as it will keep your gpu folding for longer periods instead of uploading and downloading the little ones all the time.
 
Apparently I've gotten a few as well, I'm away from my boxen for a week and didn't set up RDP before I left so I'm kinda folding blind.

 
Amen, I was so happy to see a larger WU for my 8800GTS 512MB, but I too noticed a slight decrease in PPD speed, not too horrible, from around 4900 to 4700 or so.
 
I figured I would save some money and go with the base DSL.
The upload speed is 128kb, uggghhhh, takes around 8- 9 minutes to upload results.
Just one client at 16 WU a day, oohhh crap, thats over 2 hours a day wasted. I
have 12 other SMP clients on the this connection...ok, no brainer.
/me go calls verizon...

Considering the client isn't going through all of the pre- and post-processing checks and verifications and whatnot every 20 minutes or so, I'd venture a guess that it's probably balancing out about the same actual PPD.

WOW they have dsl thats only 128k up?! Man and i thought comcast was bad at 384kb till about a month ago when they bumped us up to 1mb up for free. Least its free for now, they'll probably increase our bills later in the year :rolleyes:
 
Yeah, because of the work I do, I was able to afford getting a business class Comcast hookup, on average I get 20Mb/s download and 3Mb/s upload. So it enables me to have pretty quick uploads and downloads of WU's.
 
Parja is correct, it's basically the same as the 5002 WU multiplied by 5 (basically having the trajectory 5x longer) and you save 4 download/upload which account for the points balance. If we just multiply by 5, it is supposed to be 490 points but they gave 479, which is still good.

It was basically my request (as well as a few others) that they finally did after they lost the server twice in 3 days.

 
I say thank god finally... same PPD, but I'm not turning in some 48 WU's a day which was insane... you would have thought F@H would have learned from the ATI GPU2, but....



 
I know I had at least one of these yesterday. I thought about starting a thread but decided I was too lazy to do so.

I also noted a little less PPD with the work unit but the machine overall continued to put out about the same production, about 6200PPD. Either way, it's not something I'm worried about especially since I won't be running the GPU client for much longer unless they come out with a Linux client and compatible Linux drivers.
