New gaming PC build help

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
£1.3k with shipping.

3) Where do you live?
UK

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
Monitor, Case, PSU, MOBO, CPU, RAM, GPU, Sound Card, HDD, Optical Drive

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None.

6) Will you be overclocking?
Most likely.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
Plan to use 22" monitor.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
Space for adding more HDD in future and second GPU if needed.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?
No, I plan to buy a new copy of Windows 7.

on a 30 inch monitor you might be comfortable with half resolution (quarter technically)

I plan to keep that on my current PC as it's more useful for work related tasks.
 
Since UK sites are too slow to load for me, I can't check prices. So, here's a couple configs to consider...

AMD PhenomII X4 945 or 955 BE, or X3 720
AMD 770 AM3 only mobo, eg. GA-MA770T-UD3P

OR

Intel Core i5 750
P55 mobo, eg. GA-P55A-UD3

RAM: 4GB DDR3-1600 or DDR3-1333 CL9 or lower, 1.65v or lower
GPU: HD 5770 vidcard, XFX or VisionTek
HDD: Samsung F3 500GB/1TB, WD Caviar Blue/Black 640GB/1TB
Optical: Any SATA DVD Burner
PSU: Corsair VX550/650, Antec TP-550/650, or Antec EA500/EA650
Case: Cases are subjective, but I'd recommend any of the following: CM RC-690, CM Centurion 532, 534 or 590, Antec P183, CM Scout, HAF922, HAF932, etc
