Hello, just looking for some assistance from you awesome people in building a computer for myself this time around.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

About 100% gaming. I do some encoding/compiling now and then but probably not enough to justify different parts.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

Around 1200 after shipping and taxes.

3) Where do you live?

Somewhat near Sacramento California.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget?

Case, CPU, Mobo, Memory, HDD, PSU, GPU, Monitor, cd/dvd.
Think i will go with the coolmaster 212 for OC had very good results with it on my cousins build.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?

Only parts i will be re-using are my mouse, keyboard, and speakers.

6) Will you be overclocking?

I think i would like to give it a try this time around.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?

I am looking for a 22-24 inch monitor.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

Within 2 weeks.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewall? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.

I think next month sometime I might consider buying a 2nd gpu, maybe.

USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s might be nice.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes,
what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

I already have windows 7 pro x64 from the $30 student deal a while back.

Hmm, I like that build a lot. I also found that same monitor on amazon for the same price. Even after shipping with no taxes it turned out to be less than newegg. :D

I am just still trying to justify to myself if the x6 and 8gb of memory is worth it to me. I just don't see myself using it enough for it to be worth it. Or if it would be any better than a 955 x4/4gb setup for gaming. Because i doubt i will be getting an i5 setup in there, and i would rather not slack on the other parts to make room for it.
 
For your resolution, the prelim build Danny posted will run just about every game maxed out. I'd say go for it.

Well right now, the prices for the Phenom II 955 is a bit high considering that the X4 965 is only $7 more. As such, I don't recommend the Phenom II 955 from a price to performance standpoint. The Phenom II 965 BE is only $160, only $20 less than the X6 1055T but with roughly the same gaming performance. $20 for two more cores doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

RAM wise, 4GB of RAM is enough. I recommend this RAM set:
$70 - G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ 2 x 2GB DDR3 1600 RAM
 
Hmm, you both have made compelling arguments. I think I will go with that prelim build then, and grab the ram you just listed. I would assume the 1600 is compatible with that board? I know you know what you are doing i just like to be 100% sure. I also really thank you for all the help, you guys never disappoint here. Especially my build just a couple weeks ago turned out far better than i had first planned.
 
The LED and different case color is pretty the only difference between the two PSUs.
