775 is dead... Save up for a core i7 build, which should run you about $1100 for a good solid rig.

I don't have $1100 and I won't in 2 months. i7 motherboard and memory prices are ridiculous.

I will agree, and stress.
THIS IS THE BUILD YOU WANT.
1366 is a brand new socket, and gives you future upgradeablility, as Intel has said the new 32nm CPU's coming up will work on most X58 chipsets.

Is there a Microcenter near you? If so, get the RC-690 case from there as well.

Swap out the PSU for this larger PSU:
PC Power & Cooling S75CF 750W PSU - $100

Hmm, the only real difference between my build is the video card, GPU and PSU. Case wise, totally up to you. The cooling capability, ease of use, and construction quality are almost the same between the RC-690 and RC-590. Decide for yourself whether or not the RC-690 is worth the extra $15 over the RC-590 (If buying from Microcenter)

PSU wise, the PC P&C is larger and would allow for major upgrades in the future. As for the GPU, decide for yourself if the HD4870 512MB is worth the $50 (Factor in tax) over the HD4850 from Amazon.com:

Yes you can achieve a moderate OC with that Kingston RAM.

Yes, there is a Microcenter near me. I think the 4870 is worth it. I want this thing to last as long as possible.

What about the Corsair 750TX. Is it worth the extra $20 over the PC P&C?

It depends on which company you're more comfortable with. Both are excellent quality PSUs. But from a spec standpoint, the Corsair 750TX is not worth the extra $20 over the PC P&C

I'm just skeptical about the 80mm fan on the PC P&C. I enjoy silence.
