New Build

Then again, its only $35... what's $35 in comparison to your overall budget? ... not much, if you ask me. The easier cable management alone would be worth it, imo, especially with such a high budget build.

The 620W Corsair will be enough for all that (and an OC of 3.6Ghz @ 1.5v)... but not much more.

The 850 has some problems with the sleeving, once you rip it out of the rubber fitting you cant fix it, Also i liked the fact of the 620 has the flat black cables, will make it alot easier to run cables

2 days from newegg?!?! you must not be in cali/jersey/tenn... or they shipped from an out of state warehouse. I'm in cali, and usually get stuff next day from the egg, if ordered before 4pm and shipped from cali warehouse.

Ok, Everything is here :D:D:D:D:D:D
Question is, My Fan Controller can hold 6 fans, Which 6 should i put on it, I going to have 8+ fans. Gotta love the 830 :)
I was thinking, can i do this, the 4 door fans, can i chain them all together and just use 1 channel of the controller?
Also, i will need some help OCing this monster. I am kinda noob when it comes to it, never really did much of it, besides my video card using ATi Tool (Cheating I know). I dont think its going to be too hard, but i dont want to mess it up and fry something.

Nice stuff man.

I'm also running the q6600 (g0) w/ Tuniq tower on a IP35 pro. Different case but damn, does this rig scream :). OC'ing is so darn easy on the board too. I'm clocking 3240 Mhz at 1.34 vCore set in bios and temps are 30 idle. Once winter hits, im going for 3.6 Ghz :D

no pics yet?!?!

Ok here is the first 2 pics, because i have a problem.. I have about 100 pictures to upload, but need some advice.
The Fan door on the case is hitting the hit sink, Thoughts?

Well, after some cutting of plastic, i got it to close, I took that first fan out, and cut the fan cage out and it closed. I only have like 2 inches between the hsf and the rest of the fans. But at least it closes.I will get some pics up as soon as my camera charges

Update:
Everything is in and working but one of my HDD's is DOA :(
So i can not setup my Raid
But Lots of pictures to come tonight,
I also have to do some cabling after i get the 2nd HDD back.
Not going to worry too much about it right now.
Stock Clock idle chip is running 29C
Time to OC this beast:D

Ok here we go with first group, my internet is not being the fastest tonight, so will be uploading pictures all night :D:D

More to come in a bit!

How is that fan controller working out for you ? I am thinking of getting one and that looked like it worked well.

Cool :) I'll keep that model # in mind in the future.

Good luck on overclocking, I have the same setup sans the case and was able to get my q6600 to 3.24 Ghz, raising vCore .01 over stock to 1.34 vCore for 360 x 9. Temps are great too, from high 20's/low 30's idle.

have to get ahold of you and you can walk me threw OC this beast

Haha, well I am by no means an overclocking guru. It is actually relatively simple to overclock these Core 2 chips by intel.

First and foremost, be sure to check out : http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1198647

Great quick guide which is a fast read and saves you some time asking questions.

The mobo is also really easy to work with, upon boot, press delete to go into BIOS, and once in there, you want to go to Advance chipset options i believe, and disable C1E and EIST, which are the speedstep settings.

Then go to uGuru feature in bios to change all the settings from CPU frequency, memory timings, voltages, etc.

Then from there, find your fsb max for each voltage settings. So push your fsb high in increments (10 or 5, etc.), saving the changes in CMOS. Boot into windows and run prime95, the great torturer and see whether it is stable.

You should be able to do 333 x 9 pretty damn easily with stock vCore, but each chip is different. That was near my max around stock voltage. To get 360 x 9, i bairly had to raise my vCore, and my memory settings are still at default.

It's near the ending of summer though so ambient temps are still a bit hot and im going to shoot for 400 x 9 for 3.6Ghz come fall/winter.

I know the ins and outs of the bios, jus tnot sure on what to clock this thing to, i never oced a rig before, but wanted to try it with this one. I am going to shot for 3.0 stable. I tried a 333x9 and it would not boot. So going to start working my way up slowy. Not sure why it would to but, maybe i change the memory timings too much. I am going to leave the memory at stock and try a 333 again and see what happens.
