Probably offers fantastic performance, but it looks like a n00box imo. Then again that may just be preference - I'm biased towards the simple aluminum-based designs ;)
 
Steel, but not that heavy. Suppose its the plastic top and the front. There's a fan placement behinde the top front fan putting fans in front and behind you hard drives. The top is the beer/mp3 holder.
 
Yeah I like that fan behind the drives, they must have some strange beer containers... :confused:
 
Anyone know the name or date arriving? IMO, dual 120 for exhaust and intake are key. This looks to be a stellar case.

Agreed. But I have to say, that's the best blingbox I've ever seen.

Boxed wine for the Antec case users and fine bottled wine for Lian Li users :)
 
That case looks cheap and ugly. Antec has really started to go down hill in more ways than one. The top of the case looks like shit and the front bezel has a look similar to the Thermaltake Armor case.

We need a vomit smiley....................
 
Don't care what it looks like I just want some airflow for less than the Mountain Mods UFO cases. I love the UFO but 350+ bucks? ouch.

Agreed.

I honestly prefer cases without giant windows. I'd like to see a gamer box that doesn't look like it's trying to appeal to 12 year olds with ADD.

It feels good to know i'm not the only one with these feelings. :D

Their recent cases were pointing towards them gaining some class in their designs and now they release something that has potential for some serious cooling, functionality, and being a really great box, but the looks appear to be appealing towards the civic ricer community. :( Needs more wing!! (we all know you have to have that downforce in the back for the fwd cars)

whats the point in low rpm fans when the case is entirely exposed by the mesh. the case is geared towards high airflow with medium to high rpm fans.
 
The case would look 100% better with a solid side panel and non-LED fans.
 
i dont mind the looks of that case, i like the mild glowing through the mesh idea, but its definetly kinda overkill...

the HUGE exhaust on the top should help alot :D and dual 120's in the front are perfect for watercooling

Id buy it if it were less than a p180, no questions asked :p if its cost more though, id get something else...

am i crazy or am i seeing another fan mount on the mesh on the side panel?
 
Doesn't look too bad to me, actually. It looks like it'll cool magnificently, and watercooling it would probably be a breeze. Having said that though, I'll stick with my Lian Li PC-7B. I bet this case will end up being extremely popular.
 
Power supply is on the bottom, but they kept the board right side up. Still left side access. Interesting design. Long stretch for the cables.
 
Wire management would be a total bitch with that case...

No space behind the hard drive cage, and the power supply is on the bottom :rolleyes:

There is literally no where to hide the wires except under the motherboard itself.
 
they come with the standard antec black fans. I know the guy who built the demos in those pics. All that flash is just that, demo flash. Pay attention to the bare ones to see what they are really like. Personally i dont like all them angled cuts and i hate psu's on the bottom.

All i want is a gloss black p160 without a flashy front.

True, Lian Li's look prettier, I've got one. But even the new lili's still have 80mm slots. Am I the only one that thinks these fans need to die? I've just ordered the Stacker 810 in black. The reason? Dual 120's. The Antec pictured has that, a spot for screws, CMOS reset jumper :p, AND they put the usb/power on the top. It's looking stellar so far. Damn, forgot the mesh...who doesn't love mesh?!

It might not be pretty, like the wretched P180 sitting beside me...but damnit! It's functional!!! IMO...airflow > looks.
 
Yeah, but the intake fans on the P180 leave something desired. The HDD's blaze up because they don't have cold air flowing through them, only heat being wicked away. Then there's the vent and filter. If I open the vent door and remove the filter, my HDD's go from 36 to 31. And the cpu goes from 36 to 32. Of course, things get loud then and you may as well grab a Stacker. ;) For example, the Stacker would run my hdd's at 2 or 3 above ambient.

Totally agree. Still, if the price is right I would pick one up to mod.... if the price was right. They could make for a nice server case, just drop a few of these into it.
