Hello All,

Well I sent in my Intel Motherboard only to hear that apparently there was physical damage. No idea if that is true, but these gives me a good reason to upgrade. So folks I need a new mobo. Probably wanna stay with Asus or MSI. I might want to overclock. I currently have an I7 1156, RipJaw RAM

Don't know much about Gigabyte but i hear they are good.

I don't want to spend more then $300, and really no more then $200 unless there is a really good reason. So options? And tell me if there is more info you need.

Any particular features you want in a motherboard?

Umm, I suppose USB 3.0 would be good to have. And I guess the Sata 6.0, but that I could live without. Not sure what else to be looking for, anything I should consider?

If you can't figure it out, you probably don't need it.

I recommend these mobos:
$125 - MSI P55A-G55 Intel P55 ATX Motherboard
$135 - Asus P7P55D-E LX Intel P55 ATX Motherboard
$140 - Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 Intel P55 ATX Motherboard
$140 - Asus P7P55D Pro Intel P55 ATX Motherboard

with that budget there isnt many 1156 boards that wont be covered. Whats the rest of the system look like & what are your purposes, otherwise Any of what danny linked would be good. Although as of late I haven't been recommending MSI as they seem to have taken a hit in quality, but not a comparable hit in price so I would buy a gigabyte or asus.
