I am actually still in the process of building. I am going to use an AIO but am still leaning towards a blower card just to keep the heat out of the case. Thank you for your input though, it is helping me decide! Also if anyone is planning on using one of the newer Enermax Liqmax 2 AIOs the block seems to be fairly large. I just tried to install the 120mm version and the tubes coming out of the block were pushing on my ram pretty hard (Asus z170i pro gaming). You can change the orientation but having the tubes to the right seemed to be the best for hose flex. Just a heads up if anyone is planning on using one of these in the ncase.I haven't had time to mess with the fan profiles yet but I'm planning to do that tonight. I have two noctua industrials underneath it. Although one isn't hooked up because I don't have a second fan header, the splitter cable should've arrived yesterday so hopefully it'll be waiting for me when I get home. Once I hook up the second fan and tinker with the fan profiles I'll post how it went.
Unfortunately it doesn't change the fact that it raised my cpu temps by 26 degrees at load, that's quite an impressive amount of heat it's dumping in the case. I don't know how your Ncase is setup but if you have a 92mm tower cooler and a pair of 120mm fans mounted on your side bracket you should fair better than me when it comes to cpu temps.
I posted about it a few posts up. The Superclocked 1080 hits 81 degrees after 4-5 minutes in furmark and starts throttling. It also raised cpu temps by 26 degrees in the stress test compared to the stress test temps from my reference 290.
Those would be your only choices. I'm going with ek's 100mm res + d5 revo pump combo hanging out the back.Well adjusting the fan curve helped get it down to 79 degrees max with no throttling. Still that leaves practically no room for overclocking.
Does anybody know of a good pump cpu waterblock combo. The apogee drive 2 has some serious leakage problems all across the Internet and I don't want a gaint pump/res combo hanging off the back of my case.
If you're going to be using a full cover block on the GPU you can fit a DDC pump + Aquacomputer Aquacover DDC top on the floor of the case. A few people have done builds with that combo.Does anybody know of a good pump cpu waterblock combo. I don't believe we'll be stocking individual side panels, unfortunately. I tried to make the case for them to w360, but he insists because we don't have the proper packaging for them and they end up being fairly expensive due to shipping that it doesn't make sense to stock them.im after a black left side panel so i can mod it with glass... when is stock expected?
Very nice, even your core temps and system sensors are pretty good. Thanks Bijiont! I've been running Heaven benchmark on loop, and GPU temp stabilized at 73c.
This is my airflow layout. Pardon the poor picture. x2 120mm Silencio fans on the bottom. Double Noctua Redux on NH-U9S and exhaust. This is with poor cabling so far, and no fan profiles.

What would be the proper way to set it up?
Fans bringing cold air from outside through the radiator INTO the case. That way you have more air coming into the case than leaving it, which causes dust issues due to negative air pressure.
so like this? http://i.imgur.com/bhiWxWF.jpg
Rad | Fans | Side Panel.
<--------------- Air from the outside.
Exactly. This way the air going through the radiator is colder and presumably cleaner if you use the filter, and you are creating positive air pressure - think of it as "inflating" the case. When you do so, this surplus of clean warm air escapes the case through the vents on the top, by design. If you keep it as you originally installed, backwards, then you are "deflating" the case. Because there is more air leaving than entering the case, air from outside will start coming in any way it can through unfiltered gaps, bringing dust in.
I was worried that this warm air going through the radiator would negatively affect system stability, but that hasn't been the case. My CPU is overclocked to 4.7Ghz, RAM is overclocked to 3333Mhz, and Geforce 1080 is over 2Ghz, and stability is rock solid. The NCASE M1 is extremely well designed.

Unfortunately my radiator doesn't fit in that orientation because it leaves 25mm(fan width) less room.
Also the fan mounting screws aren't even long enough to screw through the side panel and then through the fan. The width ends up being too much.
The bigger issue though is though it doesn't fit.
I mainly mounted it like that because all their pictures were in that orientation

Looking good. How noisy is the GPU? Im choosing between this version or the FE.Thanks Bijiont! I've been running Heaven benchmark on loop, and GPU temp stabilized at 73c.

Just received my N1 case, what an absolute beauty it is! can't wait to assemble my gaming M1.
Will order these parts this week:
-CPU; Intel i7-6700K
- CPU Cooler; Noctua NH-U9S + NF-A9x14 PWM
- Motherboard: Asus ROG Z170 MAXIMUS VIII IMPACT
- Mouse: Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum
- PSU: Corsair SF600
- SSD: Intel 750 SSD 2,5" PCIe 3.0 x4 800GB (U.2)
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 4000mhz
Interesting article that shows performance increase in gaming when fast memory is used with a high clock CPU and GPU.
DDR4 Memory at 4000 MT/s, Does It Make a Difference?
Still to be decided / waiting upon release:
-GPU, will wait for a 1080 Ti or Titan, for the time being borrow a 1080 from my work PC during weekend and evenings
-Monitor, want to go with an IPS, 4k, Gsync monitor(>30") that can exceed 60mhz. Currently not available yet.... will borrow a 4K TN from a friend
- Keyboard: want to go with a wireless one, love the Apple ones not sure if they are any good for gaming(FPS mainly)
Suggestions are always welcome!
I second getting the z170n gaming 5 mobo and a 950 pro m.2 instead. You'll save money and the gigabyte board has done extremely well for me. As for the wireless keyboard I recomend the royal Kludge RK61, it's mechanical and Bluetooth so you'll have no wires and won't have to sacrifice a USB port. It's a great keyboard for the money.Just received my N1 case, what an absolute beauty it is! can't wait to assemble my gaming M1.

Flip your fans around so they pull through the radiator. From what I have seen in several tests the temp difference between the 2 is very minor.
I just got my M1 and am wondering what motherboard you guys recommend. I'm torn between the Gigabyte GA-Z170N Gaming 5, Asus Z170i Gaming Pro and the Asrock Fatal1ty Gaming Z170.
What do you guys like?

Whichever is cheapest. All of those boards are good.I just got my M1 and am wondering what motherboard you guys recommend. I'm torn between the Gigabyte GA-Z170N Gaming 5, Asus Z170i Gaming Pro and the Asrock Fatal1ty Gaming Z170.

Good choices overall. Here are some suggestions on how *I* would do it differently:
You might wanna save some money on the motherboard by getting a Gigabyte Z170N-Gaming 5. I have mine pushing my CPU to 4.7Ghz and it has been rock stable, so I don't know what the big advantage of the ASUS is. Better audio? You can get a very nice external DAC for the price difference. The Gigabyte also has an m.2 port so you'll have more choices for a NAND SSD than just the Intel U.2 SSD. The Samsung 950 is fantastic and you get more bang for the buck. The reports of thermal throttling are overblown (who's usage is similar to running an intense benchmark for long?) and on the Gigabyte the SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard which is cleaner. With the difference in price between the motherboard and the SSD, you can buy a few games, and put money towards my next suggestion:
Get a nice mechanical keyboard for gaming. Cherry MX Red switches are good for that, but if you have a store nearby that sells them you could try out the different switches. It will feel MUCH better than an Apple keyboard (I know, I am typing this on an Apple keyboard, and my gaming keyboard has Cherry MX Blue switches)
Interesting results with that RAM article, but note that its with two 980 Ti's, which are still significantly faster than a single 1080, and "only" at 2K. You won't see that big of a difference with the single 1080 as that will be the bottleneck, especially since you intend to game at 4K. If the price difference between the 4000mhz RAM and 3000mhz RAM is over $40, I would not go for the faster RAM, and instead use that money to buy another game.
This is entirely personal preference, but to me I much rather have a 2K IPS G-Sync monitor that can do higher refresh rates, than a 4K monitor running at 60Hz. 4K monitors that can do over 60Hz over DP 1.3 or HDMI 2.0 are still a ways off it seems.

Unfortunately they're Bluetooth so they won't show up during the bios so you'll have to get your OC and everything else setup with whatever keyboard you have lying around before using it. I have a black rk61 and I love it.Wow thanks, this was exactly what i was looking for! Do you own this keyboard? Noob question, do these work good during booting if you want to get into your bios for example?
Hello everyone! I build my first water cooled rig. At first i ordered a Phanteks Enthoo Evolve ITX, but at the day it arrived, i saw Bluehandstech's M1 on youtube (Thank you for the inspiration!!). I fell in love and immediately changed my plans.
The M1 is a beautiful Case.
Next week my Pipes and Fittings should finally find their way to me.
Hope you like it...
Cheers
Looks great, how did you end up mounting the pump/res?

Thank you mate!
I used doublesided tape and cable ties to secure the pump.
