Mouse Recommendations?

I know that logitech and razor have released gaming mice over the years, but just wondering if there's any specific ones that really stand out?
I'd prefer a mouse that's wireless and light but I'm open to any suggestions.
 
Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike came out not too long ago. It's the only mouse with "Haptic Inductive Trigger System".

I'm personally waiting for them to bring it to their 502 design because I use the fancy scroll wheel functionality and all the extra buttons.

You didn't say what your budget is. I would pair it with a powerplay mat if money is no object.
 
The Razer Viper is wireless and light weight. No complaints. :)
 
DeathAdder v4 here, I love everything about it except the noise of the clicks. If Razer implemented a haptic trigger system on this thing it'd be just about perfect for me.

Do you have any other needs except relatively light wireless mice? What sorts of games do you play? There are a great many typical mice these days that attempt to cut down on weight somehow and use a standard button configuration, from the big 'gaming brands', to smaller more niche ones, to random 'no-name' off AliExpress/ Taobao etc. Instead I'll give you a couple of more unique options I've found, that really stand out.

Zaunkoenig M3K - https://zaunkoenig.co/m3k - an insanely purpose built carbon fiber mouse , overengineered by Germans to be the lightest possible fingertip grip mouse. It has 2 buttons and a scroll wheel, but no side buttons or anything else to save on weight. This is also why they chose to go wired (where even the cable was designed to be light and flexible), vs the additional weight necessary for wireless and the batteries to power it. If its your sort of thing, its apparently phenomenal. I can greatly appreciate their design, quality of components and manufacturing, even if its layout is a bit limited to be my primary mouse

Swiftpoint Z3 - https://www.swiftpoint.com/products/swiftpoint-z3-ea- This mouse takes the complete opposite approach, yet is as well engineered and designed in its own way. The Z3 is the latest iteration of the Z series which are incredibly feature heavy - it has multiple extra buttons 13 in total (placed way more ergonomically than many 'MMO grid mice' I've found), haptics and pressure sensitivity on 5 of the main ones, gyro functionality including "tilt" inputs both left and right, an OLED display on the side, and a host of other features and accessories . the Z3 is the first iteration that is wireless, and it should be shipping in the next few months. I've been using the Z2 , the previous wired-only model, for the past couple of years and it has been a great experience.

There are more than a few other unique mice out there, but these are some unique niche options with features and build that are particularly noteworthy.

You should state your use cases, what level you play at and hand size as all those are important for choosing the right mouse. Shape is king though, so getting a mouse with worse tech and higher weight, but is comfortable and easy to aim with, will make more of a difference than getting the absolute best from a measurements standpoint.

For casual gaming, just get an older mouse that fits your hands from a reputable brand, as those will be a lot cheaper than the current flagships. If you are playing competitively or semi serious, then get a mouse that fits your hand with good tech, or bleeding edge tech if money is no object. Better mouse tech makes a bit of a difference in fast paced games, while in slower paced games the differences are often not even noticeable. It will not be night and day though, between a mouse made in 2020 and 2026, just minor increments. Lower weight is beneficial, too a degree, but it becomes a tradeoff when build quality or other features start to suffer. The difference between 70 and 50 grams is noticeable aim wise, but I would rather have a well built 60g mouse that suits me than a bad built 50g mouse.

For state of the art, then Razer has the best wireless and sensor tech in the Viper V4 Pro and Deathadder V4 Pro is close behind. Zowie also has great wireless, especially in the new performance mode. Logitech X2 Superstrike has the best click technology, but lags slightly behind on sensor and wireless. The rapid trigger on the Superstrike makes it easier to burst fire as the release point of the buttons can be set to very fast and real world click latency is around 10-15ms better. Wireless stability is mostly noticeable in fast paced games with lots of tracking and long flick shots. In slower shooters like CS etc. it mostly comes down to reliable and fast clicks as a differentiator.

If you have normal sized hands and use claw or fingertip grip, then Viper V4 Pro and Logitech X2 Superstrike would IMO be 2 of the best options if cost is not an issue. You can save big and lose out only a little bit on going with the previous generation. The Viper V3 Pro and V4 Pro have the same shape, similar to how both Superlights and the X2 Superstrike have the same shape so you can save money and most of the same performance, outside of the click tech in the X2 Superstrike. There are other brands out there as well that make great mice that are worth looking at.
 
Hi, I’ll take this opportunity to share my situation.
I bought a Corsair Nightsword RGB mouse, but it broke after just two months (fortunately, I was able to return it).

Right now, I’m using my "old" Logitech G502 Hero.

Could you recommend a gaming mouse? Something better than the G502? I mostly play FPS games (like Doom).

I looked at Corsair options since everything else I own is Corsair, but I’m open to other brands.

I’d prefer a wired mouse; I’m not a fan of wireless mice or dealing with batteries.

I started using these over a year ago and have been really pleased with them. I bought them when they were on sale for $75 and $80.
EDIT: actually got the white one in August of 2024 for $90, doesn't feel like it's been over 2 years though. Black one was $79 and was bought October 2024.

G502X, connect a wire to it, or use a powerplay mouse mat.
