Just got the demo... wanted to see how everyone liked it.

IMO, it has decent graphics and the Go Anywhere thing is good but I can't help but feel like I've played this game about 100 times before...

AI are ok but as always they are horrible shots.

7/10 for the demo, enough for me to buy the real game.
 
I agree, its pretty good, its got that cinematic feel to it.
 
Downloading the demo right now.

And all this I won't buy it it doesn't have AA or it isn't pretty enough is the reason games suck right now they are spending more time on making it pretty instead of making it fun.

Thanks for the heads up on the freeby Battlefield 2. Going to have to go and preorder this evening.

MOH Airborne looks like it's going to be GREAT. I always loved the Medal of Honor series and this game looks like it will be a great one as well. Just got through playing the demo and it pretty much kicked ass! :cool:
 
Oohh! I like this game a lot.

I agree with what most people are saying... .very cinematic feel to it. It also requires a lot of precise aiming too, which I like. It makes me wonder how well it'll work on the 360 though - aiming with a crappy controller. It also has Resistences' health system, which is brilliant I think.

But just like the Bioshock demo, this UT3 engine is just raping my machine. MOH even seems a bit worse, since there tends to be more action on screen. I'd say about 25 average, with common dips to 11-15 during fire fights. And that's with Med settings. =(

ffs, my 7900 isn't that old. Well, I was planning on getting an 8800 anyways for CoD and Ep2 this fall. Maybe I'll just end up getting it earlier now.

Awesome game. But if you're one of those getting sick of the WWII shooter, you might want to stay away. It's very cliche in some regards.
 
I like it. It's my kind of shooter take some skill but you can run and gun if you really want to. I like the WWII type of shooters iono I guess I would rather fight a real enemy than some weird space alien or something like that.

But on a side not whats with all these games needed PhysX all of a sudden. I might have to take one for a spin if they ever come out with a PCIe version.

I am honestly tired of world war games. We need some new age games...such as BioShock...damn been playing it the whole day, and can't get enough of it, its amazing.

so are the rumors of crashing and limited installations true? i liked the demo but was warned away from buying the full game.
 
I liked it a lot. The graphics were pretty good but I do wish more things were breakable + being able to shoot dead bodies.
 
Amazing game - I'm constantly impressed with the Unreal 3 Engine and what developers are doing with it.

I'll throw down a preorder at Amazon, Battlefield 2 is the icing on this cake of awesomeness.
 
2nd on the breakable items, i'd have to say that this demo was sooo (etc) oo much better than BioShock, also it oddly ran smoother. The whole demo ran at 60fps for me. well... at the really hectic parts the lowest it'd get to is 48. Not bad UE3 lol, BioShock demo ran worse for some reason, i dunno but whatever lol
 
played the Demo liked it allot will be buying it when it comes out. Runs Great on my system everything maxed @ 1920x1440. 50 FPS and up 85 percent of the time.
 
The demo was absolutely awesome. I haven't really been impressed with visuals of a game for a long, long time but this one looks and feels absolutely fantastic. I honestly wasn't expecting all that much but boy, was this excellent. It does have a very cinematic feel to it. Best use of UE3 engine yet. Bioshock looks way much worse than this. And what I really liked about the visuals is that it just honestly looks fantastic, no overblown HDR crap to hide lack of detail. Really good lighting and atmosphere. I'm so going to buy this game. Bioshock hasn't really interested me all that much and even less now. :cool:

And what's best is that it ran smooth as silk at everything maxed and 2560 x 1600 resolution with a single 8800 GTS. I was NOT expecting that. :)
 
I was a little underwhelmed. The game looks nothing like what they showed a year ago. Should I go install it in Vista? Any advantages?
 
i thought the demo was awesome. liked it a lot more than bioshock. I was a fan of MOH since the first and second one on playstation. While they did make some crap MOH games on the ps2 and xbox, allied assult on pc was simply awesome.

I think i might get this game...

I can never get enough of WWII games :D
 
I wasnt that impressed. Its alot prettyer than the preveious versions. And one thing thats cool is thee bodys actually look life sized. The motion blur thing has to go, or have an option to turn it off. Another shitty point is the effects when bullets hit, aswell as gernade explosions look like ass. For having ageia support (atleast I think it dose, I seen it install with the game) I figured there'd be cooler effects. Its like a trip back to DX8...
I can deal with no AA becasue there so much action you wont really notice. I also like how you get upgrades in the field, for accuracy and all that good stuff. Thats pretty sweet.Other than that not to bad.

Would it make me buy it? umm prolly not unless they let me turn off blur, that seriously give's me a headache.
 
they did do somthing that COD never did, Fighting Italians in italy? who would of thought that, in COD 2 you did missions in italy yet no italians were around for miles, thats one thing I noticed , I really like this game, it gave me the feel of playing the first MOH all over again.

to get those cool effects you have to have a physics card? do you have one?
 
I thought I seen the ageia installer while the game installed. And no I dont. If it makes the game look better I might just invest in one.
Still no reason for the awefull effects. Take graw2 for instance. That game looks awesome without the ageia card, with one its even better but still has some sweet explosions without. MOHA was dissappointing.

yeah you might want to invest in one if you think that you need or want pretty looking explosions, it does make a difference. The think you installed from the demo was a driver in case you did have a card installed.
 
oh man I was just playing the demo and mowed down a squad of badies with my thompson on a rooftop in slow motion, man that was a Rambo moment! , made me all giddy :) thought I would share that with you guys.
 
Major kudos to the lean system in this game. A 4-way lean system while iron-sighted is genious, and it works amazingly well.

Slow motion? There's bullet time? Has anyone installed it in Vista? I want to know if it looks better b/c I personally am not impressed with DX9 MOH.
 
^^yeah you'll most likely see that in future FPS's (even recommend too) when other developers get their hands on MOH:AB :D lol (just like the bullet time effect from Max Payne).

Dude how can you be not impressed with the DX9 version of the game, the style of the game play is amazing, clearly deferent from older versions of the game, and other recent FPS shooters, I'd also like to see an DX10 version in motion too see what they have done with it, considering how good the DX9 version is already.
 
hte only time I can think of bullet time is when you get the achevements and it slows way down for a second like bullet time. Pretty freaking neat tho!

There's a kind of short 'bullet time' effect whenever you level up one of your weapons, but I certainly wouldn't say this game has bullet-time in it. You don't have any sort of control over it, nor do you have a bullet-time meter or anything.
 
When I heard of this I thought "Just what the PC gaming community needs. Another WW2 game..." Then I played the demo :D

Most fun I've had with an FPS in awhile.

Althou I'm not sure how to land correctly.
I keep getting the botched landing message, then my guy almost face plants him self :p
 
Do you get BF2 when you go to pre-order it or when you actually pick up MOH:A?

I managed to land correctly a couple of time by pressing the W key right as I was landing and I got the "Greased Landing" message instead of the face plant. :D
 
I'm waiting for Hell's Highway. I'm hoping that realism will bring something to the table.
