I purchased a 850W modular PSU here on the FS/FT forums from a member. Pictures showed the PSU unit itself in great shape, while the manufacturer and multiple vendors list the PSU with 4xPCI-E connections. As the seller did not mention any missing parts, I didn't even think to ask. My bad I guess.
When the PSU arrived it was missing two of the four PCI-E connectors. Asking the seller, he says he can't find them and suggested I use the molex cables and obtain some adapters instead, sorry!
Problem is I really need all the connectors, as I will be running multiple video cards, drives, fans etc. I would be worried about running too much off of a single cable. The manufacturer does have replacement cables available on their website, but it is $20 shipped to replace the two that are missing.
Should it be reasonable for the seller to refund a portion of the funds to cover part of the replacement cost of cables (say $12 or something) that I think we can all agree should have been included in the first place? I have not left any heatware until I get a definitive answer, but just wondered what you all thought of this...
