Recently got my nCase M1 in and time to choose the components.

Games I play:

Dota 2
SC II
Hearthstone
Heroes of the Storm
Diablo 3

With this build I am looking for good value for what I do. So if you have a suggestion that is a little more money and better value let me hear it. No real budget here just want to get good value for what I do.

CPU: Already have a i5-35XXK (can't remember exactly but it is an ivy bridge)
Mobo: Already have a Gigabyte PBH61-1 Rev 2.0

GPU is where I need the most advice on value:

Heard this card was poor value if you didn't need a power connect, this particular one has one.

Most of the 270X are $30 more than the 750 ti, is there $30 worth of value in that upgrade? Lastly the only other card I have considered is a used 760 but then I would give up mantle.

Even if the 750TI had a power cable, it's still not a good choice from a price to performance standpoint. Yes there is $30 worth of performance increases over the 750Ti with the 270X. However, at $185, that R9 270X is ridiculously overpriced considering that $15 more gets you significantly faster R9 280:

From a bang for the buck standpoint, the above MSI R9 280 card is your best bet. But if you want to save money, go with this cheaper $160 R9 270 card:

Before you ask, yes there's $40 worth of performance increase with the R9 280 over the R9 270. But the $160 R9 270 is still an excellent choice for the money.

I considered this but I will rarely "wait" for technology. Especially for something I don't need. The 960 doesn't even have an official launch date and then it will probably be a bitch to get and be overpriced.

So I just pulled the trigger.

I'll post pics of the build this weekend hopefully.
