Metro: Exodus

No crash but I didn't go to the same area to test it out had to replace a save file started me in the Winter area and I'm by the forest with crossbow. At least my save file works.
 
Anecdotally, I completed this game on a low end quad-core system with 8GB of RAM and a 2GB GPU when it first came out and it ran acceptably at low settings and never crashed or misbehaved.

The specs for the Enhanced Edition are a bit higher.

I started playing this from the beginning with the Enhanced edition. I played a bit on my 4K TV, it actually ran pretty well at max settings on my 3080 (using DLSS Quality setting).
 
It's a really good game but I think the open/semi-open design hurt it, Metro plays better linearly, like you might travel in a Metro perhaps? Plus the sand area whatever sucked. No-brainer at $5.99 either way but I definitely enjoyed the first two more.
 
For $1 more you get the expansions ($4). For under $7 you get the previous two games with all DLC. If you never played this series just get that. Also check your EGS accounts, the Redux versions of the first two games were given out free there. More than likely this will be cheaper than the upcoming winter sale.
 
My Metro Exodus enhanced will not start on Steam. Verified files and same issue. Load screen just gets stuck. Uninstalled.

According to his post history he has a 4080. So the next logical question would be if he is using the most up-to-date official drivers, installing the official drivers using a "debloated" installer, or using some kind of hacked driver.
 
This is $3.39 for the Gold Edition (includes all DLC and Enhanced Edition) at CD keys. $1.59 for the previous two games. All are Steam keys I believe. So if you missed the Steam sale, check there.
 
I had problems with crashes with the regular version. When I installed the Enhanced version it worked great. But I'm also on Epic I lost my save file about 5 times on Epic but had backup copy.

Did you uninstall the drivers before switching in the 4080? I would DDU the driver and reinstall it if you did. I tried a drop in upgrade of a video card once and it caused all kinds of issues on my PC.
 
Just randomly started working. I gave it another try. Took it forever to get to the start screen but it appears to work fine. I played for about 30 minutes with no issues. Wild.
