Looking for a real PS/2 port

USB has limitations on how many keys can be pressed at once. Unfortunately with my last upgrade I have lost my PS/2 port as supermicro finally stopped putting them on some of their boards (which made me very sad).

Anyway I am looking for an actual PS/2 port (PCI or preferably PCI-E).

Two I have found so far are:

and:

However looking at the reviews these appear to just be a USB controller with an adapter which is not what I am looking for. Anyone know of anything?

I believe what you are looking for is a port header that plugs directly into the motherboard; is that correct? If so, then something like this could work.

Then again, I don't recall the HID spec having a limit of concurrent key-presses for input. The only similar situations I've experienced has been from the device itself, which has typically been low-grade keyboards (often wireless models).

Edit: Totally mis-read the first post, so ignore my first sentence. (Though it's uncertain whether the link I gave could be of use in this situation.)

I'm not familiar with any native PS2 controllers for PCI or PCI-E. If they ever existed, they are very most likely discontinued now.

Sorry dude, they don't exist any more. Even if you say, tried to hack one with an ardunio or something, you'd stll have to write a proper driver interface for Windows. The hardware is just one half of the problem.

Designers use USB because it's EASY :D

Well I run linux not windows but still you would think they exist..

Anyway the one picture I was able to find of that board suggests no ps/2 port despite what supermicro's website states...

Also I guess the X540 is copper 10 gig which is nice. I was assuming it was like the X520.
